What did you do today? Part II

^^^Same here. "Mom are you taking that?"

"Yes, I'm taking all that."

"You know, the new place is a LOT smaller... do you really need (fill in the blank)."

"Yes."

Trying to get her to do it in the logical order, move in first, fit in furniture, then sell house is, of course, out of the question. Her realtor (my cousin, just started), is going with the "houses sell better with furniture" approach. I'm on board with the "houses sell better without all the old lady stuff/decor" approach. And mom is unwilling to do ANYTHING to prep her house. SMH!

Well - I will try this again. AD died while I was trying to save my post.

I am redoing and moving on with my lifeprint lessons for ASL. I am planning on doing a bunch of short videos to show how I progress. I want to do a video for each "story" and make multiples and merge them together with "spacer pages" in Windows Movie Maker. Well, I made my first video and immediately deleted it. Must remember to clean up first and make my bed. Those places that still won't clean up well, due to space limitations, will get covered up with a spare sheet. Lord what a mess in my room. :laugh2:

beat up my car a bit with a snow brush and ice scraper... what can I say, I was in a pissy mood earlier and the frozen solid snow and ice on my car didn't help!

pour some olive oil on your car before you sleep so that frozen ice won't form :)

Negative 37? -37? now that is cold. Coldest weather for me was -28 back in 2008.

cool, that is very pretty! I am pretty on SK is warm on is -5 pretty not bad! reduce last weeks coldest! :)
not bad issues I aware it!

depend on it complication!

It also reminds me why I'm not a big fan of knick knacks.

Me too. My house is pretty devoid of knick-nacks. A couple "cute" things in the kitchen and bedroom, that's IT. The rest is just furniture. You saw it! :) Less to dust around, less for 7 furries to knock over.

And you can't say anything about the so-called "cute" Christmas moose that I dared people to laugh at ;)

Been reading all day. After a Christmas leave (I just returned - it was a post-Christmas Christmas holiday), my brain no longer feels like a piece of paper.

It has been raining today. Forgot my umbrella: it is a bit annoying reading with my glasses afterwards.

My experience with this type of thing goes back to over 20 years ago. At that time I was negotiating on a two bedroom house and my mother wound up in the hospital with what became her final illness. Dad had died years ago, she had later moved in with her sister and brother in the family home where her folks had raised 7 kids (it grew from 3 rooms to 9 if you count the porch that was enclosed with painted drywall walls and sheet goods on the floor). She turned out to be the last one there.

In a week and one day I went from no houses to two! I did take my time and get moved into the two bedroom one (that I am still in) before having to make any final decisions about what to keep from the big one.

My brothers and I went through stuff at my mom's house. She's finally getting ready to move out of the house I grew up in to a condo. Boy - she has kept a LOT of junk!!! But I got to take some things that belonged to my dad (he died over 20 years ago).

Not into nick-knacks. What I have got are papers like you would put on a bulletin board held to walls in my office/dinning with magnets. I do the same thing in the kitchen with recipes when cooking or baking something where I need to follow a recipe. I live in a Lustron which has all pre-finished porcelain steel walls! All you need to put up something including a power strip is a magnet. In the case of the power strip a magnetic strip with adhesive backing was first stuck to the back of the power strip; then the magnetic strip holds the power strip to the wall.

I KILLED A SPIDER...ALL BY MYSELF!!!

*waits for the standing ovation*

I always have to pat myself on the back when I can work up the courage to kill one too. Usually I'm too busy shrieking and running from it!!! (in the direction of the honey who has to go kill it for me.) :)

Hmm...that's okay. I'll take it.

I regret not taking a picture of it before I used my broom to move its dead body out of the house. Nobody will ever believe me. Especially people who really know me well.
