What did you do today? Part II

Why do they NEED you to go?
Probably to get me more involved than I have been. They say I act more like a visitor than I do a member. It was only recently they convinced me to start coming to church dinners. I didn't go before mostly because my DD and I usually sat by ourselves and no one spoke to us. The last dinner he texted me why I wasn't at the dinner and I told him why. He then told me to get my butt in the dinning hall to join them. They had saved two seats for my DD and I to sit by them.
Thanksmas?

Thanksmas= a combination Thanksgiving and Christmas celebration held between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Hope it is to make you and your DD feel welcome not for their own personal agendas.

Considering they have showed me nothing but kindness up to now, I have no reason to believe they have a personal agenda. They are an older couple with a daughter of their own that is the same age as JClarke. If something didn't seem right, it wouldn't have sat well with me for this guy to be our pastor. I have this oddity for spotting out people who are 'off'.

It seems to me that most people that survive a traumatic childhood becomes more adept at spotting troublesome people than the general population.

My mother always taught me to trust my instincts about others. She encouraged to me pay attention to the little things in peoples behavior. Her training has paid off many many times for me. It was much later when we (and she ) learned about the traumatic experiences in her past and some of the things she did to keep us safe.

So trust your instincts to keep you and your dd safe.

Well, I am glad that they want you there because they sincerely care. :)

Today I worked in the hotel lobby documenting my Friday and Saturday work. Right now, I am waiting for my flight, sigh, still another hour of more waiting... And then I'm home!!! :D

Back to MY bed, MY bathroom, MY alarm clock, MY MY MY... (oh, I think working on a Sunday fried my brain)

Oh, and I just dumped salsa all down the front of my sweater. :(

Wirelessly posted

I went to church. Now, visiting my grandma and having lunch, she cooked enchiladas and beans mmm

LOL! I actually feel bad for whoever gets to sit next to me on the plane! Ha! Maybe I should snore for good measure! He he he.

No snoring! Fart up a storm instead - you'll make friends more quickly! :giggle:

Oh! Good one! Quick, must eart more beans... Or a glass of milk will do too..

He he, I actually had a really bad case of the flatulence when flying home one trip. The guys on the other side started spraying this nasty smelling perfume to cover its up (didn't work). Oh! Everyone suffered on that flight! Oh! Good memories!

Not much of a good day...the Home Health Nurse did not come for the ear packing and removing or the IV flushing that must be done everyday....I had to make several calls and finally someone came out, 4 hours late!

So I was angry, and told them that my Insurance pays for this...and I expect it to be done daily, or it's off to the emergency room.

Feel somebody got their job "axed"!...But I don't give a rat's ass about it....

What? What is ear packing? Is it load of infections in your ear? Boil?

I went to our church Christmas program and watched my wife and 3 other ladies terp for the service. It was nice. Then I went to Walmart and bought a couple toys and rode in U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots motorcycle run! Cold but fun time with friends!

Enjoy your time back at home. There is no place else like home. :)

Went to church in spite of not being able to pick up right leg at all. You ought to see how I drive without my right foot working. :giggle:

Came home, had to move MIL's car out of carport so hubby could repair it. (Blown radiator hose, upper and lower). Drove family to restaurant for lunch, then went to Dollar General and grocery store. Came home and read a book, finished up dinner prep, ate and then changed my bed. Still can't lift my right leg, but at least there's no aches in it yet.

Amen to that Shel!

I just got back home from church myself. It was our Thanksmas Dinner meal/business meeting. It was alright. I might have enjoyed it more if I had my HAs I could have understood more of the conversation. I'm also frozen as it was held in the gymnasium and it's poorly insulated against the cold. All of my extremities are frozen and how I have a snotty nose. Boo.
