What did you do today? Part II

Worked for 4 hours, picked my daughter up from the airport and went clothes shopping at the thrift store. We had so much fun being creative with unusual clothes and assembling them. Here are two pics of my daughter wearing the blouses, jacket, and high heel shoes from the thrift store. Not bad, heh?

how old is your girl? shes beautiful. she wore high heel shoes. :tears:

Not for school but for dress up play because she wants to be a fashion designer/model/actress so we got fun outfits. The shoes were only $5 so I was fine with buying them for her to wear for "fun". If they were like $20 or more, no.

She is 14 now and thanks for the compliments. xoxo

Made the pumpkin bars for tomorrow, did some laundry, went to 2 libraries, the dollar store and came home. Had lunch, then back out, but with MIL and went to Costco and the grocery, then back home. Now, the family is at Burger King and I am here since I am unable to walk right now. They will bring me something home to eat. I still have to make the cranberry fruit jello for tomorrow this evening.

I hope your leg gets better!

I chopped up my broccoli for use in the casserole I'm cooking for my family.
Boiled 18 eggs waiting to be deviled with bacon bits after they cool off.

:P

Legs are doing a little better, now I got the cranberry fruit jello done. It is amazing how many people who hate cranberry sauce love this jello. My niece and nephew in Missouri hate cranberries and pineapple and jello, but I got an email from them asking me to send my brother (their dad) the recipe since they love that stuff.

Went to visit my mother in law and celebrate Thanksgiving one day early. :)

I'm going to have to try that around christmas time. My husband hates no, loathes cranberry sauce. He refuses to eat it. I'll try this jello of yours!
I'd like the recipie if you care to share!

Just had a late dinner w/a dear old friend of my late husband & his wife (& my kids). This friend & my husband went to school together from per-school thru high school. He lives about 10 mins from my DD & SIL. Oh, the stories he can tell (of the days before I knew my husband. :o. I guess my kids are old enough to hear how "bad" my husband was in his youth.

Cranberry Salad
Serves 8-10

2 small or 1 large red jello, any flavor
3 cups water
1 small can crushed pineapple
2 oranges (1 unpeeled, 1 peeled, cut into eighths)
1 pound cranberries, or 1 bag
2 apples, cored, cut into eighths
3 cups sugar

Grind the oranges, cranberries and apples together in food grinder.
Add the fruit and sugar to the jello after it cools slightly. Watch liquids. If the oranges are real juicy, use less water. Chill and serve.

**Tip: grind the oranges last as the juice will clean the apple and cranberries out of the grinder.

Well - made a fresh homemade coffee cake for family this morning. Did not sleep well, so I am running on pure coffee right now. Been in the kitchen since 5:30, making the coffee cake, eating breakfast, cleaning up. Then, turkey cooking, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, giblet gravy and cooked apples. Got to sit while eating dinner, then back to the kitchen to do all the dishes. Got all the leftovers into fridge, and all dishes done. Sat outside in the nice cool breeze for an hour just cooling off and now relaxing here on AD.

I love it cooking interesting!

Got up super early to make the traditional lunch since my husband had to work this afternoon/night...I was dead tired, had missing key ingredients, had a few mishaps in the kitchen, and only one oven...it wasn't my best meal, but I think I pulled it off. I hope he appreciates my efforts.

I finished my autobiography. Finally!

Then I tore it up. Will start all over again. Some things I cannot say, and other things I need to say.
