I looked at poll. The blue is zero in here. I thought blue is look cool and bright color.

I can't wait to play with stickers and rhinestone decorate on my new freedom. :D

My CIs are black. I originally wanted gray because I was told that it looked "techno," but my former audi recommended black since it's a neutral color and goes with everything. My hair is blondish-brown, so it blends in well (according to what my current audi says). Having said that, I wouldn't be ashamed to wear a bright colored CI, but I'm happy with a neutral colored CI that matches my wardrobe. :)

I know someone adult got blue CI and she's a woman!!

Ohh yeah! I saw her picture with blue BTE on her blog of CI journey and usher syndrome type 2. When I am done with my CI journey blog and will add her on my list. :)

The deaf triplets girl name is Zoe has blue BTE. Sophie is silver and Emma have pink. It's cool colorful!

I wish the poll let you have two choices...

I have silver and blue. Silver is the one I use all the time. Blue is my backup. I long since gone beyond the warranty and therefore only insure one. I'm covered that way.

I am sorry. I can ask MOD to fix my Polls

MOD, Can you change the polls to pick different choice the colors on boxes instead of one vote box. Please thank you

I have question for CI user

I am curious why I get two BTE processer? I thought just one BTE color. My audiologist gave me custom color with 2 different BTE. I was alike okay. I wanted one full black and other one full pink. How about you got double BTE for one implant? I hope you will answer my question.

P.S. I got all 5 different of microphone clip color is black and all pearl pink, blue, green and violet.

As I am in England, One BTE is only provided per person. We can easily get spare if ours doesn't work or broken (my controller broke down while i was at the centre!! and straight away i got new one) I could easily asked for different colour but I rather stay with brown since i work in industry that alot of posh people is involved and i just want to look professional like tidy hair, one pair of earrings, no tattoos visible that sort of thing.

And that depends on centres.

I do have 1 set of 4 pearl coloured covers and one set of 4 browns which came with the box. I have used the pink and purple so i only have blue/green left. And one brown left.

Some CI centers give 2 processors to each CI recipient. One is used as the primary processor and the other is used for backup (in case of loss or repair).

What color is your BTE? Can you post a color BTE here?

This is thread for CI user and parent's children with CI user only.

I have a good news! I will have surgery for CI on June. My option CI's brand is Nucleus Freedom. I haven't decide to pick a color BTE yet. I will make a thread of my CI coming soon.

Im glad that you are getting CI soon :D then you will hear the new sounds :)
Good luck and best wishes..

I'm curious but what exactly do the speech processor's look like? Is it sort of like a BTE except with no mould?

I imagine the bodily worn speech processor is similar to a bodily worn hearing aid? How do the wires stay on?

Please don't bother with pictures as I'm blind so can't see them.

It's hard to explain to you. Hear Again can explain to you. I am sorry that you can't see the color. :(

HA and CI are almost same BTE with different shape and design.

CI people have earmold and some people do not need the earmolds.

I want you to see my pink BTE on my profile picture. I have one more black.

I'm not sure....

But this is what I have... That's my cochlear implant and that's all the colors I have.

I have 2 cochlear implants. One is the Nucleus Freedom and the other is that one in the picture above.

I wear the Nucleus Freedom because It has more Program chooseablility on it. I chosed Silver because I think its more of a professional looking color on the implant (also good professional color for band too when i go into competitions =] ) but also because I love the silver color on the implant. Both of my cochlear implants are silver. (By the way I only have 1 implant not bilaterial)

Sometimes I will use the other implant just in case. Because that would be my backup implant if the Nucleus Freedom gets broken. It's always good to have 2 cochlear implants in case the other gets broken.

I used to have the box implant when i first got activated. I didn't really like the box because of the long wire. I always felt like it was like pulling my implant off and that the wire wasn't long enough. I was tall at the time. I was bout 5'3 or 5'4. I was the 2nd tallest in my family. My mom and my sister was short. But my dad is more taller than me. I'm almost tall as him now!

But right now I'm using the Nucleus Freedom. I have the Mic cover, I 4 colors to choose from: Pear Green, Pear Pink, Pearl Silver, and Pearl purple. My favorite color from the mic cover has to be the purple and the silver and the green. I'm wearing the pearl green because when i was in winter drumline, My drumline director (named Tim Fairbanks) asked me if i had any colors for my implant for drumline competitions. He told me to go with the green. Because our show theme at the time was: "Jungle Love, the Hunter and the Huntee" ANd the green exampled as the vines and the trees leaves and such.

But overall i'm really happy with what I have so far. I couldn't ask for any more. Having a cochlear implant is actually the greatest gift of all that my parents gave me. Is to actually being able to hear again. :D
