I am thinking about how happy I am with my functions mark. :)

When you say a person is a "git" what does that mean?

Depends on where you are from....here in America a "git" is a slang term used for a "contemptible person", but in the UK it is a "a silly, incompetent, stupid, annoying, or childish person".

Has someone been calling you a git, LDnanna? I'll give them a wedgie if you want.

Hm, I think of Larry when I hear the word "git"

I almost got run over today. We went to Sam's Club. Very sore joints today so I chose to drive a mart cart.

I saw the Marie Callendar's Chicken Pot Pies in a freezer, and then I turned to my husband to tell him to get a box down from the high freezer shelf. He was laughing!

Then he pointed to the loaded forklift that had just missed me as I darted across the floor. He told me forklifts are very loud, plus the driver honked at me, and of course I did not hear it.

He said he was really laughing at the look of disbelief on the forklift driver's face.

(For the record, my husband is a really nice guy, but he was behind me and there was no way he could run fast enough to catch me.)

It was on my right side which is blind so I have a small excuse for not seeing it..

Oh wow, I'm glad you're okay. Yeah sometimes deafness have its disadvantage. I often get nervous walking down a busy parking lot because I cannot hear if the car is running or not. I would have to keep an eye on the hind-lights of the car.

I try to be very aware, but I have not often taken a mart cart before, so I just did not think of forklifts.

I will just pick the forklift guy, as my husband did really cheer me up and made me laugh too.

And I learned an important lesson.

I hope the poor forklift guy isn't still have heart palpitations.

It's a good lesson for the forklift guy. Bet he'll be more careful for a while.

Well, I am sure he probably doesn't know why I drove right across his path.

As my husband said, forklifts are loud and he was honking at me. So it is my fault too in a way even though it was just a mistake.

It has also made me sadly reflect that my parents may not have been all wrong to refuse to give me a bicycle. :hmm:

is thinking of ya'all who are infected with H1N1. recover fast! among us - poor jillio must be having it worse.

couple days ago - I was having couple of flu-like symptoms. I pumped myself with full of drugs and vitamins. It's working.
