In my time, many boys love movies like Goonies, Ferris Bueller's day off, Stand by me and Aliens. I have to admit that Aliens was way better than Alien. There are a few weird movies like Blade Runner.. Ekkk.. It's too strange. I didn't like it at the time, because I was too young to understand it. lol

I found Dirty Dancing on Entertainment app on iPad. I will watch someday. The Princess Bride is on Netflix. I will watch it soon. I watched The Neverending Story last night and part two this morning. I'm amazed at the CGI of the first movie. Hard to believe it was made in 1984. I love Goonies and Ferris Bueller's day off. I haven't seen Aliens. It is on my list to watch movies.

Yes, they don't want satellite and cable TV to die.

Cable TV is definitely going die within decade but satellite TV may a little better for rural market.

Cable TV is expensive. I pay around $165 for cable. I hope the price go down soon.

Oh wow, it was $10 per month for standard cable, or $20 per month for digital cable in early 1990s, before FCC was deregulated on cable price.

Back in 1994, my parents ordered digital cable, along with The Disney Channel, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and Encore for $40 per month.

Now, it is usually cost $200 or more per month if you want all digital tier, along with HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, EPIX and MoviePlex. :(
 
Yep. We pay close to that. About 170. We do get all the channels we want, though. And with him being a disabled veteran and staying at home at all times, I want him to enjoy tv time so I let him have what he wants.

My father is retired and I bought HBO, Starz, Cinemax and Showtime for him to enjoying watch on TV, as mine too.

My friend complains about the cost of DirecTV. He calls in and companies about the cost every so often and threatens to leave then he winds up with a discount for 3 months or so, when he calls in again.

LOL...have done the same thing....so they always give me or look for a "new promotion"...I'm with Comcast/Xfinity...have cussed them out on the phone and in person too many times. My bill averages around $170.00 a month (the bundle)....Have found out the hard way, you can't get anything done via the phone. The Reps know nothing and won't do nothing for you...In person...speak with the Manager. And my voice usually gets a little "loud"....

I cut the cord, I mean satellite over a year ago now. Just insane to pay so much for a lot of ads. I stream now, pick up the major networks from on-air, and generally watch a lot less TV.
 
Thinking about my sister, she's going to have gallbladder surgery next week. Hopefully it goes well... No bueno for her birthday month... :(

Try The Wraith and The Lost Boys. They are the best. I find one of those vampires hot. His name is Billy Wirth. He is still hot for his age now.
