I agree. That is what killed our miniature Poodle.. Really great dog, but she had problems with kneecaps, couldn't walk enough and was overweight despite our best efforts.

same here. My cat had a stroke. His side of body is weak included leg and front arm. His head tilts permently. Hes doing ok after he worked out by walking and jumping a lot which got better. BUT not the same as before. oh well.

Marty was only able to play a very short game of fetch inside the other day. He got an attack of bronchitis and was trouble breathing. He also has bad knees so I can only take him for short walks . Its' so hard seeing a pet get old and sick . I am sorry to hear about your dog.

Something about stiffness in the neck and a hurt leg. I'll try to get more details from TCS, who gets them from his sister, who gets them from the vet (which is not their regular vet but emergency only). It's confusing.

Update:

Xray shows a neck disk calcification and maybe pinched nerve.

That brushing teeth with the new Chocolate Crest toothpaste I just bought is sort of like brushing with brownie batter.

Further update: dog is doing better. Vet gave her an anti-inflammatory medication, and it seemed to improve things. She's able to get up, walk, and go potty outside. Whew!

Good for the dog. Maybe they can get her on a good diet as a 57 pound beagle must be something to see!

She is on a strict vet ordered diet now. Umm, yes, she is.
 
Am glad I have my own apartment. Nothing like your own place!!
 
Am thinking of how good those boiled peanuts I cooked were today....had been years since I had or cooked any....2 lbs., and they are all gone....lasted about 10 minutes when the boys found 'em.....
