Embarking on trying out my new hearing aids. I didn't expect them to be tiny (#13 batteries..ick). Lotta feedback unfortunately- I seem to get that every pair of hearing aids because of the power I need. It's that old line-- digitals are too quiet/soft so I keep wanting to crank up the volume level damnit!

Have to wait for the DAI boots :( the ones I have are too big.

Guess I'll save up my money so I can get the one Sumo DM repaired (casing part).
 
I am so happy. The boat mechanic called and our boat is ready. I was sure it was going to be major repairs but it was something simple. Thankfully a cheap fix this time. Monday it is going to be 90º so hubby is taking the day off work and we are finally going to take the boat out. Hope it doesn't sink!!!!!
 
Thinking of how thankful i am to the mayor. First has my teacher cuz i know im a hard student to have and still he was there for me. And now he offered me a job that pays well, allows for me to pay for my expenses and school. A job i was not qualified for and yet he had the patience to teach me. Even now when i still get stuck at times. But not only that. Any time i have any kind of problems he is there to help. So thinking how i can make up for all he has done for me
 
SIL got his offer letter. He starts his new job in 3-1/2 weeks in CA.
Gotta find time to see as much of my daughter & grandson as I can before they leave. I will be seeing them tomorrow after work. :)

Hey LoveBlue....where in California? What line of work is your son in law in? I know so many people all over California just curious if our paths may meet one day. At least you will have a great place to visit.

I'll be out that way with my train friends in Oct. so will plan to spend one day with my daughter & grandson exploring San Francisco.
May alter my trip home to spend more time with them or just wait and go back there when it's winter here. :)

Cupertino is very nice, pretty expensive though. I lived and worked there many moons ago. I have a lot of family down in that area. The weather there is nice, not so hot like we get up here. Bay Area gets a nice cool breeze in the evenings. When going to San Francisco always remember to bring a sweatshirt. It can be 110º in Sacramento and half that in San Francisco. They sell a lot of sweatshirts there because people don't think it will be cold. I wish your family much luck on their new adventures.

I've gotten some tips already about bringing a sweater or light jacket for evenings. This will be my first trip to the west coast, so I'm looking forward to seeing it. Most if my train trip out & back will be to areas I've never been to. Of course, I'll sleep through some of those areas.

What to do to protect my new aids... EarGear is expensive- 25 bucks a PAIR?! SuperSeals a bit better in price but difficult to get on (I used to have some over 15 years ago). Downside is that I apparently can't use these AND have my DAI boot attached. On my old pair I have the boots attached ALL the time- I just leave 'em on.

Want to prevent moisture/oil from getting into them- this year it's already hot and humid :dizzy:
 
Thinking I wish the weekends were 3 day weekends, not 2 day weekends. Working 5 days a week is too long!
 
If you work 4 10 hour days, I always liked that schedule better. If I get this promotion, I'll be working 4 10 hour days and have 3 days off. I'm very excited about that. :D 10 hour days to suck a little more, but the three days off in a row are totally worth it. :D

I already go to work for almost 10 hours anyway...might as well change my schedule. I would love that. Too bad that I work at a school because the parents wouldn't approve of their kids having 4 days of school with 3 days off.
 
Google+ is weird I never use it but still got an email saying "cheeseboy noko" had added me to their circles :hmm:

LMAO.. used to it.. this is the second time I've lived in NC with a five year stay in SC in between (and short ones in GA and AZ). Almost..ALMOST... miss frigid cold days- those don't wreck my hearing aids LOL.

Trying out my new ones with my old earmolds. Seems the feedback is somewhat less this way...:hmm: new molds might not be a good fit...
 
Thinking about selling my Jeep. :(
