OMG, I absolutely adore that woman, lucky you even if you didn't recognize her! Bet she appreciated that, not to have fans falling all over her, just going about her daily business.

Don't feel bad , my ex husband said he was once thumbing for ride and a guy stopped to pick him up. After driving for awhile the guy asked my ex if he knew who he was and my ex had no idea it was Steve McQueen he been talking to the whole time. Damn , how could someone
not know Steve McQueen !

A lot of people. Especially younger people- they would not know Steve McQueen from Adam. I know who Steve McQueen is but I wouldn't be able to recognize him either on the street or in a fricking movie.

Not everyone is good with facial recognition.. including identifying famous people. I'm one of them. Sometimes I can if the person either has been in the public eye for a long time or if there is an unusual feature of the person that I can associate with them (hair style, shape of face, hair color etc).

Honestly I have saw several of his films.... But still would not know him or most actors and other "famous" people it they hit me with a school bus....
 
Thinking about the new Chromebook I just ordered. I have an IPad 2 and it runs so so so slow. I think I have had it for four years. It definitely was time to upgrade and Chromebook came highly recommened by my daughter and her boyfriend who are my computer technology nerds. Should be here on Tuesday.....hope I like it.
 
I'd be interested to hear how you like it.

I have a laptop but really need to either sell it or get rid of it...had since 2008 and hardly use it now.

My youngest daughter highly recommended it. I listen to her since that is her line of work. She writes programs for Android and has worked on some applications with Google. So, I have someone to set it up and help me problem solve. What is nice is you can use it for 30 days and if you are not happy with it you can return it. I was concerned the Chromebook might get hot because I use it on my lap but apparently it does not. Her and her boyfriend did all the research for me and found me a great price. My son just told me it was an amazing product. I will definitely let you know as soon as I can.

Oh she writes programs for android? How cool! I want to get into learning android programming but seems my problem is WHAT kind of app to design/create LOL.

She does a lot of web designs also. The company she works for seems to do a lot of different types of stuff. She designed the company logo, made their comany video and much more. Her boyfriend and his dad own the company. My daughter and her boyfriends spend MOST of their time there. The company just started making real money a few months ago. She likes it and is happy so that is all that matters.

Which Chromebook? Aver, Samsung, etc,,,?

I would be interesting if it doesn't overheat, I gave up on laptops that I seem to burn up in 6 months, even with a cooling fan!

Hey Botti, I think the brand is called Acer. I've never used a laptop before just my IPad. So we shall see how it goes. I will let you know.

Acer is good. I've been using the same Acer laptop since 2008 and its still going. I have a couple other computers, one HP desktop that died 6 months out of warranty and a HP laptop but like my Acer :laugh2:
 
Getting a little stressed over selling my daughers car. Carmax's offer was a joke. I was hoping they would buy it and that would be it. Never used Craig's List before, but that is our next step. Hope it sells fast because her car is taking my space in the garage right now.
