I wonder where their tenants are supposed to eat?

HELLO! I am sure they can eat in their unit just not cook in it. Or they can eat in the kitchen and there could be a TV room people can eat in too .

I hope they come up with other options for you. I know that you enjoy fixing your own meals.

That's exactly my thinking. I think they made a mistake suggesting this place.

You sound more like WDYS every day. You guys think we don't have any common sense. :roll my eyes: I mean, really?

Wrong she is nothing like me! I know CB2 has common sense , I have a lot more than most people I know . The guy is able to get around on his own in the city just fine . You're have no comment sense .

Exactly. Not quite sure why everyone was giving Mark a hard time. He is a smart guy and is working close with his staff to make this move a pleasant one for him.

I agree , he is trying to the made best out of whole thing and he is working on it . He is not just sitting back doing nothing , people should really get off his back. .

well I hope something is worked out. The more I read the more it sounds more like one of those 'corporate/temporary housing' type places at some apartment complexes I've heard about but even with those they have a small kitchen. Someone mentioned it sounded like a hotel and I almost have to agree but even then...when i moved to Arizona I (and my dad) stayed in a short term hotel place but there was still a mini kitchen with a microwave, small fridge, sink... can't remember if there was a stove or not.

Just seems so odd and to me both the staff and mark really should have done a bit more investigating before jumping in so quickly but the staff (and program) do need to revisit their information and update accordingly...

That was exactly my point. He does just fine. You need to read more carefully. Good grief.

Update: staff are currently working to make some accommodations. I do not yet have all the details, as there's more information that I do not have just yet. They are trying to see what they can do.

Update #2: we have eliminated the need for movers. That will go a long way in helping me out greatly. They are still intent on my moving there, though, but they did say they do not want me staying there for long, which would seem to indicate that they might help me find a much more suitable place. I just hope we can find one quickly.

NO you need read more carefully ! I had NEVER SAID CB2 was not able to take care of himself ! I have seen this kind of stuff happen when I was a health aide and the biggest problem was poor communication , and people do not listen and they think they know what is best for a person . People get so uses to working with people that needs extra help and when someone like GB2 come along who KNOW how to do things for himself like cook and to turn the stove off when he done , he get treated like all the other clients .
The staff needs to learn how to treat each client as an individual person and this kid of stuff would not happen.

I didn't mean to butt in, but for an example.

Alleycat meant about something that reminds her of you and jane. for example, about CRAZY to the parents but i didnt say that. Of course you and alleycat know that CB2 does have common sense for his own needs. :ugh3:

*butt out* *licking my paw*

Tweaking my resume again. Am getting emails about a job that I've gotten emails about in the past like clockwork now- every September and roughly every April as well). I hope I get lucky this time...my job skill set is perfect for this.

Getting my day started. Should be a fun and interesting day today.

Reading the local newspaper. Going to a birthday party later this afternoon.

Waiting until 7:30 AM, so I can walk to the Metra for Ogilvie.

Getting ready to board the Metra in a little more than 10 minutes.
