Just finished my final exam in Data Communications. Whew!
 
Making dinner. Didn't eat last night, or eariler today, so I am gonna eat now.
 
Here's the thing-- my food supply is running short, so I have to manage my food wisely until Tuesday.
 
I just helped a friend retrieve his ntouch mobile and a TV show. He was freaking out pretty good, but no biggie-- got everything back.
 
Enjoying looking at this picture which I framed today & put on the wall behind the TV.

I have been reading about the Alaska Legislature at work. It is a pitiful disgusting sight. Even the election that brought them into office should have been thrown out. It was an illegal election given a pass by the Alaska Supreme Court.

Love Blue has it going on. A way cute picture on the wall... smiles here..

Getting ready to put spare wiring in storage, as I already have what I need now.

All my spare wiring has been safely stored away, and I've also decided to temporarily suspend use of ntouch PC, until I can get a better system that will work with ntouch PC. Only one I can think of would be a Mac laptop, but those cost way too much.
 
Went to the Amish market, Home Depot, and dinner with my husband. We have enough money for our major kitchen renovations and we picked out our new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, new appliances, and new floor from Home Depot. Cant wait to start working on it and see the final product! I hate our kitchen now..so ugly and so outdated.

Ohhhh so exciting. What are you going to use for your counter tops?

We started our kitchen last year, granite counters, wood floor, new stove and microwave oh and painted too. I have a really big kitchen 34 cabinets plus all the drawers total 47 panels so we are not replacing them. Eventually we are getting them resurfaced. I want to get new lighting done too.

It would be cool if you start a thread and shared pictures as you go.

I can start a thread. I came into money from an small inheritance my late grandfather left for all of us. Wasn't expecting it and I put the money in my savings because I didn't know what to do with it. My husband and I went to Home Depot for a new grill for him and we started looking in the kitchen area and started getting ideas. We realized that we can afford a DIY kitchen renovations thanks to the money I got from my grandfather's will and my 2 years worth of savings. So we decided to go for it as we both HATE our current kitchen with a passion. It is money that will be well invested. I didn't want to spend my inheritance on frivolous stuff so I put it away because I was unsure of how to make the best use of it.

My kitchen is so small so we would need only maybe half of the cabinets as you needed.

We are going to keep our lightning as it is the original one from when the house was built in 1930s. It has a lot of character.

We will have an engineer come in and give us an estimate on the cost of knocking down one wall in the kitchen to make it bigger. We aren't sure if it is a support wall.

Also, we will use some of the money for repairing the front porch as it is falling apart badly from the extreme cold temps we have had.

Sure, I can start a thread with pics of both rennovations. :)
 
Shel.....That would be great. I love seeing different ideas that people have. Kitchens are so fun to redo since we spend so much time in them.

Can't wait......

Also took my doggie for a long walk by the river yesterday...she had on her new Hot Pink Jacket...as it was quite breezey....she's "outgrown" :giggle:...most of her frilly dresses...in other words, she's gotten a little fatter....when we got back home, there was the biggest smile on her face....and she passed right out...
