Wendy's To Lay Off Workers And Replace Them With Machines

They never call out sick. They never show up for work while drunk or high. They never argue with each other or make sexist or racist comments. They don't care who you are going to vote for. They never demand a raise, never complain, sleep, take smoke breaks, act obnoxious, etc. etc.

The free trade agreements, especially NAFTA and TPP, also deal with China and H-1B visa destroyed more jobs than create more jobs, that how our state suffered from massive loss after many textile mills closed. There is no future in Alabama unless you want to be doctor, lawyer, teacher, specialist, legislator and police officer (or law enforcement agencies).

For US, it will be depends on individual states - some of them have very good growth and some of them are not growing at all, also Canada is doing well, especially in BC and Ontario.

You could go into robotic engineering ....

They never retire and require lifetime legacy pensions and medical care.

would you marry one?
seems all the plms are solved with robots...
mmmm

indeed robots can do what ever we program them to do
no one denies that

they prob will be programmed one day to be good parents too

the possibilities are endless

just because we can do somethign doesnt mean we should

Using a robot for routine, rote, repetitive, and sometimes dangerous tasks in industry is hardly the same as using one in a human relationship.

No one posted that. Robots have specific tasks where they can work more efficiently but they aren't appropriate for everything.

Of course not.

They don't a need a maternity leave either ! LOL!

But instead of medical problems they get repair problems!

For instance, I have encountered problems with the screens that show what you have ordered orally from a human not working at fast food places from several different chains.

Make a repair robot ..... Problem solved!

I am such a problem solver.

In 1998, Mitsubishi had to pay $34 million in a sexual harassment lawsuit.

They could have used that money to buy robots.

2016: I'm grateful that I have job today. :)

2030: I'm unemployed for 2 years now, even my doctor cured my deafness and successful with speech therapy, but nobody want to hire me since everything is replaced with automation. I'm not eligible for SSDI anymore because my doctor cured the deafness.

Robots don't require therapy. Or, any other form of healthcare.

Robots are the future. The military is even making robot soldiers.

Scary ....

Are you ready to live on SSDI for rest of life after everything is placed with automation?

And no, I wouldn't marry a robot. My wife would kill me. After my mom and dad killed me first.

My mom wouldn't know what to get her robotic daughter in law for Christmas!

2016: I'm unemployed for 2+ years now, even my doctor cured my deafness and successful with speech therapy, but nobody want to hire me since everything is replaced with automation either the job is outsourced or they hire H1B. I'm not eligible for SSDI at least because my doctor cured my deafness I'm deaf.

The world for me at this point. I'd like to see 2030 and be on my own again :P

never stated they were the same

robots can and will be doing allot more in our society. one day prob soonner then you or i think, they will be gettign tasked with all sorts of things you or i never thought they could. like raising kids who the hell knows..
just because a machien can be programmed to do a sertain taskt doesnt mean we should let them do that task.
in othe rwords
innovation for innovations sake shoudlnt be the goal
in regards to replacing a large section of the work force with these, that also has a cost on society. we can ignore that cost all we like. the cost though remains

Of course not.

alright

I like Wendy's better than McD's so....those machines should be easier to place your orders instead of those ppl who could fuck up your order, giving the wrong food when you step out or whatever like that.
