No, I KNOW what's best for my son because I am his mother! He has shown that he is a visual learner so I will cut off all auditory input for him. He doesn't need spoken English.
Saves money on Ipods, I guess.

No, the parallel wouldn't be to cut off input of any kind, but rather: "I KNOW what's best for my son because I am his mother! He has shown that he is a visual learner so I will provide visual input for him."

As a deaf mother of a hearing child, I know what works for my hearing child. He needs ASL so he can fit in with the Deaf community.
