sampleimg_2.JPG

I downloaded this sample of the photo from a Canon's website for Canon PowerShot G9. The picture is beautiful.

But, it bothers me a lot about the metal part that attaches the parrot's claw. See the metal ring on the left claw.

I also noticed something odd about the back of the "fingernail." It hurts my feelings. I wonder if this parrot is really happy or not. What do you think?

I emailed to Canon Company about this picture and asked who was the photographer. She said that she has no information about the photographer on the site. I'm disappointed.

Canon Powershot G9 digital camera (This link will display a very large picture of this parrot so that you can see the details in the picture.)

If you could close-up as zoom in, you will see a silver metal on the claw. The fingernail is hard to see. If you click this "Canon Powershot G9 digital camera" website's link,

it will show up three small pictures on the website (at the bottom). You click the small parrot picture again. It will larger the picture for you to see the silver metal and the fingernail if you zoom in the picture to see the details.

What do you think about that? Is it cruel? I just think that the parrot is trying to happy, but he/she does not have a freedom because of the metal chain. I am thinking of the fingernail that tells us that he/she doesn't like it at all so he/she expresses him/herself to be a fake happy by not thinking about the chain. I wish that there is an easy way to contact PETA and let someone to take care of that and trace that damn photographer who doesn't have a mortal about it.

Just buy cute parrot from pet store then let hanging on your lovely G5 iMac then take pic of it then you would show an good picture, lol.

Maybe they use metal chain to keep the bird from flying? if so, why didn't they just clip their wings a bit, so they will no longer fly. :dunno:
