most people would say - "all for what?" "why fight?" "F**K Bush" etc... but to me - it's the price of Democracy and Freedom that they fought for us... something we take for granted
 
Aw, heartbreaking indeed! I hate " not to be seen again " impact .. that's heartbreaking ! :(
 
Yes, it is heart wrenching. :( I'd hate when that happens when I don't want a loved one go to war.

Oh ouch, that's so sad and war has never to be easy for every troopers.
 
My heart aches too. My nephew flew to Iraq a few weeks ago. I keep him in my prayers. My other nephew is done with the service and works at the tower at the airport. One more of my nephew is thinking about joining the service soon:ugh3:
 
Wow - That's heartbreaking.

You know, Women and Men who are in the military are sacrificing a lot more than we think and we should be in debt for them and thanking them for defending our country, and much less, they are willing to sacrifice their lives at all costs. It's scary because there's no way knowing if they will come home safely.
 
It makes me sad to know that he died... it is an unfortunate loss...

I have a lot of deep respect for our military.
Some people wonder... why do we send fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, friends, someones child...

Unfortunately, those are the people that our military NEEDS. It REQUIRES good people like that. We can't use the criminals, or the losers, like some suggest... as 1, it violates the rights that these people fight for. 2, we don't need 'losers' protecting for us, we need winners! It is the ultimate sacrifice... of self.

Yesterday, as the family moved inside the funeral home, several Vietnam War veterans who are members of the "NAM Knights" and rode their Harley Davidsons in the procession walked back to their bikes. "Somebody's got to do this for him," said Navy veteran Jim Zaconie of Washington Township, his eyes watery from the windy 375-mile round trip. "We didn't have any of this when we came home."
