Angel.. Really! its unnecessary? You mean that anyone have unexperince about those , whoever could be moderater, am i right? you are sure about that? But Alex is looking for somneone have exprience with blackberry, sidekick, motorola, others that he will set up new forum..

I'm looking for a few moderators for my new and upcoming forum. Basically the new forum will be about these cool, wireless gadgets with qwerty keyboards that we carry around to communicate with our friends and family members (e.g. Sidekick, Blackberry, Treo, etc.)

The ideal moderator would be one that:

1.) Enforces the forum rules and does not take sides
2.) Is willing to invest some of their time creating new and interesting threads/posts daily. No severe post-whoring and going off-topic often, though.
3.) Has a positive attitude towards the members and are willing to assist them if needed.

I'd like to be a moderator.

* I have a good understanding of information technology, and am very willing to learn further more.
* I am very active
* I have good people skills
* I am short tempered
* I am calm and patient
* I have had experience moderating on few forums (and experience with back-seat moderating! LOL).
 
Oh come on, Cheri, you're smarter than you think. :fingersx: I have no idea who is good at communications devices. :dunno:

To be honest, it was unnecessary because I don't believe we are here to put a member down or to hurt their feelings, everyone do deserves a chance, yes you have the right for an opinion, but hurting someone is another thing, I'm sorry..... :(

CKFarbes.. It was still not necessary. If you don't like someone being nominated, the decent thing you could do is to PM Alex about it and explain why you disagree with the nomination.. It is downright rude to post negative comments so openly towards someone else.
 
I also 2nd the nomination for fly free, shes one of my assitant adminstrator at my other forum and she has done superb job and shown alot of respect and always movaites poeple and makes others aware and considerate and most of all she has really good experince in researching and understanding and knowing to read between the lines im very proud to say i d like to 2nd that nomination. :thumb:
 
I nominiate few people even tho I don't talk to them but from the way I had read threads and can see how they can be good for ur new forum..




Flyfree- she had done great for other forum she can be mod for ur thread so she have my nominiation :)


Magatsu- I had seen how he can make good mod thru few threads that I had read..:)

it really up to Alex.....i was hoping if he nominate me for new experiences and new opportunites in the future making the forum a better place open to discussions and making new friends.

Thanks Cheri and Ravensteve, but I really don’t know anything about the subject. :dunno: Don’t forget, I’m only partially deaf, so I use a regular voice telephone. And Mayflower uses an amplified phone with a patch that plugs directly into her CI processor. She’s never had a Sidekick, although I want her to get one. So we’re not really qualified to moderate on this subject. There are a lot of people here who are far more knowledgeable about this topic than we are. Shezzbeav and/or Mark Rejhon would seem to me to be logical choices.
 
Guys and gals, it is quite flattery that some of you nominate or recommend me to be a mod... But I have to be honest with you folks, I don't think it is good idea for me to be a mod of AD because of my partisan approach. You may (or already) know that I have very strong opinions about certain things like politics, women's rights or children health. I tend to voice out whatever is on my mind which may (or already) offend some AD'ers around here. Yes, I may have knowledges in different subjects included technology but my strong opinions and partisan approach will interfere the processing of AD community/system which I am sure that Alex or other current mods wouldn't like to have in community like AD.

Honesty is the best policy, right? After all, that's what I did about myself. I am fortunate enough that other communities accepted me as mod/super mod only because of my knowledges and 'elf helper' activities. If not for these, they would strike me down or ban me for my strong opinions :)

I already offered my recommendation to Alex through the pm which I assure you folks that s/he will do the job around here much, much better than I can do.

To whoever recommend/nominate me and for putting your faith/trust in my abilities, many thanks! That is quite heartwarming... Once again, thanks and you rock! :D

Alex, I would suggest you to create the poll for us to vote.

You can make the list what you like to suggest your AD members as moderators and create them into poll for us to vote. Don't you think so?
 
Id love to be a mod, i believe i have a good attitude and i seem to be able to get along with most of people, i do enjoy helping others if neccessary, and i have plenty of time so i could spend them on being a mod, but unfortunely i do not have much knowledge of modern wireless device... i only have one pager so far however, im willing to do some research and learn more about them.

:-P If not me, i would suggest flyfree, redwolf, mag.... even though i know mag doesnt want to be a mod :-D
 
I vote for redwolf. Cause he knows what is best for this forum. It seems he is the only one saying he want this job as mod. I am at the airport right now using the mobile.
