Do you not see the paternalism just oozing out of that sentence?
And you, do you not see that you have no way of knowing what it is like
to be losing one's hearing amidst a hearing environment, being a bit conservative in one's thinking when it comes to viewing deafness as something rather embarrassing at that?
Also - learn to read with some comprehension - there is a difference between supplying one with resources and leaving him with what to do with them,
another with making him do it.
I am not suggesting "supply, and make him do it"
