What does the UN have to do with anything? I think your paranoia is beginning to rear its' ugly head again.
Again, Maria could use some Risperdal.

iHow long do americans have to wait before getting an apointment?
This varies from one medical center to another, but for most of my medical needs, I only have to wait a few days to a week for an appointment.
What Is the quality of the apointment like when you get it?
This largely depends on one's doctor. I'm fortunate enough to have some wonderful doctors and specialists. The only exception was a psychiatrist I was referred to (after being hospitalized for bipolar) who left it up to me as to whether or not I wanted to take meds for my bipolar. Since bipolar is a lifelong medical condition that requires meds to prevent severe manic episodes from occurring (manic episodes increase in frequency and severity as one gets older if they are unmedicated), they are essential for the proper treatment of the illness. I quickly ran away from that psychiatrist as fast as I could and found another whom I'm very happy with. Having said that, I think one of the things that needs improvement when it comes to medical care here in the U.S. is the time spent between doctor and patient. Most doctors only spend 15-20 minutes with their patients whereas in the past, it wasn't uncommon for doctors to spend up to 30 minutes with a patient.
What is criteria of medaid Medcare?
To qualify for Medicaid, a person must have an extremely low income and/or be disabled.
To qualify for Medicare, a person must have a moderate income, be disabled and/or age 65 or older.
Thanks. I think I would qualifiy for Medicare then. My mum would have qualified for Mediaid as she had very low income. When she had cancer she was put on a long waiting list. If she had been seen sooner she could have had a hysterectomy and not have died. So she would have done better under the american system it seems.
You're welcome. <smile>
I'm sorry to hear about your mother, dreama. <hugs>
Thanks Hear Again (hugs)
I'm one of them that do not have health care. :P
Yep, that's true about ones who don't have health insurance. it is pretty tough to have one. they usually are with jobs with degrees or high skill levels.
Im against unions because they cause corruptions to companies as they make companies pay unecessary payroll.
Exactly. If 60% do have insurance, then we are still looking at 40% who don't. And the vast majority of those work every day. Millions of that 40% are children.
yes I heard of seiu local union before. what does cna stand for? my ex roommate is under seiu local #6.
Because they refuse to go and get it!
As far as the children go, if bush did not veto H.R. 976 & H.R. 3963 and republicans did no play their typical partisan politics every child in America would have health care.
Believe it or not....certified nurses assistants.
