I know this dog is like 13 yrs old, he is very happy with home and owner. Amazes me, He reminds me of a old movie, you know Gremlins?
 
Hahaha! Yea, that is Chinese Crested. I thought Chinese Crested is the most ugliest breed in the world... :jaw:

Origins: Sam, the above-pictured canine, is a 14-year-old pedigreed Chinese crested owned by Susie Lockheed of Santa Barbara, California. In June 2005, Sam won the "World's Ugliest Dog" title at the Sonoma-Marin Fair contest for the third consecutive year.

The Associated Press described Sam thusly:
The tiny dog has no hair, if you don't count the yellowish-white tuft erupting from his head. His wrinkled brown skin is covered with splotches, a line of warts marches down his snout, his blind eyes are an alien, milky white, and a fleshy flap of skin hangs from his withered neck. And then there are the Austin Powers teeth that jut at odd angles.

He's so ugly that even the judges recoiled when he was placed on the judging table . . .
Unfortunately, Sam is suffering from a number of age-related ailments (congestive heart failure, lung and kidney problems) and will probably make no more public appearances, so he may have to cede his "World's Ugliest Dog" crown in next year's competition.

It´s unbeleivable that the owner use Sam for "the ugliest dog" contest without realize how he suffer failure heart, kidney, lung... :mad2:
I feel sorry for Sam totally.

Liebling, this is what happen to Chinese Cresteds because of breed's hereditiy. It's not good for sun exposed when they get sunburn. Also, it's not good for freezing outside if they have to wear heavy coats/clothes on. Yea, when they get older, they get warts, splotches, and skin problems.
 
For what? The vet. cannot fix him because he's old. If the vet. will make him sleep then he'll die for surgery. :nono:
 
I would put Sam sleep when I were Sam´s owner... It´s CRUEL to make him to ugliest contest and watch him suffering.... :mad2:

How do the owner feel if someone put her or him to ugliest contest when she or he are incurable sick????????????????????????? They would not like that.

Please check Sam´s eyes... He´s BLIND.... He has poor healthy as what the link in my post said... failure heart, kidney, etc....
 
Aww that's so sad! pretty scary to look at it though. he looks like he IS blind.. if i were the owner i'd put him to sleep.. :(
 
I would like to adopt him and make him comfortable and give him 2nd chance to feel love with family..

I feel bad for this dog.. hes all mangled with health problems plus skin coniditions PLUS looks like he been abused and neglect.. look at his ears.. chopped off (probably from homemade crop chopped).. :(

Sigh.. poor him..
 
I STILL wanting to cuddle him, give kisses, giving hugs, and that ugly dog is BEAUTIFUL! I wanna put a cute red bow on his head, and put $1,000 dollars diamond collar on this cute ugly dog.

I know, that is why my name fit right - and sure you can call me crazy :fly:
