Personally I'd look at the neighbor you've been having trouble with blocking your vehicles by parking on the road those kids may be looking for payback.

You or your wife shouldn't need a concealed carry permit to carry a weapon on your own personal property for self defense but check with your local laws to make sure. Here its an exemption to carry a firearm concealed on property you own/rent/lease and so on.

Big agreement with you.

Use gun to defend yourself or your family at home or business - no permit needed.

You shouldn't need a concealed carry permit to keep a gun in your home for self defense. In fact, most home protection firearms are shotguns, which obviously are not concealed weapons. However, taking the course is beneficial since it covers the laws, safety, and basic skills, so I would still recommend it.

Yes I agree, We know its ok at home on the property but there has also been some issues when out and about so we would like to have just in case there is a situation if it ever comes to that.... I know the first course of action is to run away, but its not always as simple as that depending on the situations. Just a couple months ago my wife was coming home and some idiot speeding flew around her in a no passing zone and ran an elder lady off the road that was oncoming, My wife decided to follow him as she seen where he turned off, well apparently he reconized her van ( pretty obvious ) he turned around and rammed her in the front end. He got caught as my wife was on her cell with the police at the time and they were close when responded. The police said he was armed and dangerous, also a wanted felon... she is very lucky.
I told my wife she is so "F'n" stupid to go chasing people, just let it go. Call an ambulance for the accident victim and go home alive.
Me, I just drive on if everyone is ok unless help is needed I will assisst.
But long story short, its basically for my personal protection as there are some dangerous people out there, not that Im walking around with a chip on my shoulder.
I grew up around guns ( family has a long history of Military and Police ) and I have great respect for all weapons, sold all my guns when kids were very young, but now they are older and I also want to start hunting, Id like to have a side arm when bow hunting due to bobcats, wild boars and bears.
Ive never been in a situation where I needed one,(except when someone broke into my parents house while we were sleeping) but you never know what life throws at you.

That is the first thing I thought of when I read the thread , that this a payback and I think it may had been easy to prove if the neighbor car tries where checked out right away . There could had been something stuck in the thread that came off the OP yard. Or Maybe I been watching too much NCIS! LOL!

Well today was the start of a whole new ballgame... and Im pissed but its ok, I got the Mayor on my side... going to invite him over with the top dog building inspector.
Today our inspector knocked at my door, in tow was the landlord..hahahaha.
Well the inspector said I need to replace the roof on the shed.. no problem, thats being worked out now, but the landlord is trying hard to retaliate since the no parking is approved. The landlord was trying to intimidate me, saying he is going to errect a fence on his property no so no one can park there, all the way up behind my driveway, I told him thats cool, as long as its not on the easements, and I made sure the inspector heard all this, and so he kept on with his comments, and I told him straight up, this wouldnt be an issue if his tennants were a bunch of assholes, and now he is trying to be an asshole... go ahead and errect your fence.
Im going to the head of the inspectors to let them know and with the Mayor to tell them I will NOT be intimidated by anyone, and if the inspectors are going to help him retalliate ( because the roof needs repairs ) and they know all this already that its in the works.... someone is gonna get their ass handed to them.

Did you really call the landlord an 'asshole ' in front of the mayor? I don't that is going to win you points with the mayor. I can understanding you being royally pissed off at the landlord but I found out if I bad mouth a person in front of someone trying to help me is does not help my case. The landlord is going to be looking for dirty on you and how did the landlord know your shed needed a new roof ? First you had tires marks on your lawn and now this happen with the landlord . I would be checking out the landlord tires now. This all sound very suspicious to me , all this happen so close together.
Did you get your night cameras set up yet?

I don't think he called asshole on purpose.

That is not my point. I agree the landlord is an asshole but to call him that in front of the mayor is not wise thing to do. It could hurt sonocativo
creditability .

Re-read what Mike wrote ... he did not call him an asshole in front of the mayor he said the tenants were being assholes in front of the landlord and a building inspector and was saying to us(on AD) that he was going to invite the mayor and building inspector supervisor to his place to discuss things and view the area themselves.

Well that does not help Mike calling anyone an asshole in front of the mayor .

I like the game camera idea - just be sure to put it somewhere where it can't be taken down. Some of them have a bright flash and it would be easy for the thief/thieves to tell they had their picture taken.

Also, there are some security cameras that you can program to be motion activated. You can hide those a lot better.

oh geez, guess I posted in the "Outcome" section too soon, Sono, wrote I was glad things worked out but wow, hadn't read about this part....

I got confused, posting outcome stuff in the trespassing thread.... off to the outcome thread I go...lol
