There is a new documentary about the Artinian family!

I never thought of the issue of not being able to heaer anything else when there is a cd player or anyhting else hooked up to the CI. Very valid point.
As I recall, the Freedom still allows the microphone to be active when the CD-player is connected. So one should be able to hear both....
HAve to look it up.

BTW, tried an MP-3 player with Lotte, but she was not impressed. No reaction. Wondered if it was actually working....
More tests will follow.

BTW; Lillys dad, I gather you use the microphone a lot...
Never used it for Lotte... what situations do you find it helpful (and - does lilly have 2 or 1 CI.... I forgot..)

We used the mic. before we got the body worn unit. After that, we have tried it a few times when we went out to dinner. We would plug it in, then when I or my wife spoke, we would put it relatively close to our mouths so she could hear over background noise. It did seem to help a bit. We also used it in the car a few times.
We eventually got a FM system. We used that a few times, but mostly on playgrounds.

Yes, but on the ipod, you have to put the volume and sensitivity to 0 to get the full effect of the music. At least that has been the experience of individuals who have the Freedom. With the N24, there is no such setting.....

My youngest daughter, who is hearing, played against Heather last year in both Volleyball and Basketball. In basketball, Heather was the point guard and she would take instructions from the coach orally while on the floor and call out the plays to the other kids on her team.
