The Walking Dead

I have met NORMAN REEDUS plays as Daryl, Michael Rooker aka Merle, Steven Yeun aka Brian. Maybe a picture post in PHOTOS section with Norman is coming up when I can!

Saw World War Z two weeks ago. A must see for walking dead/zombie fans. It surpassed my expectations as I did read the negative concerns about last minute changes to the film. Well I'm glad they did make it a good movie!
I've never read the book, but I heard a lot of negative reviews because of what was compared between the movie and the book.

However, I've heard a lot of good reviews from the movie in general and I would like to see it. I'm waiting for it to come out tomorrow. :)

I hear they announced a sequel. Hmm...

The comic is at the beginning of another massive story arch. - ALL OUT WAR. It'll cover issues 115-126. Theyre even releasing two issues a month to cover it all.
Shits about to get crucial.

In case anyone is unaware, a spin-off TV series was announced recently, they're aiming for a 2015 release date.

I've been watching TWD marathon all day yesterday (I have not seen a single episode till yesterday). I hate to watch TV but I hate catching spoilers even more so I decided to catch up and watch the new one tonight with the rest of fans. I'm pretty excited, can't wait!

Wow....I can only guess what the story would be for the spin off...and I wonder if it would do as well as the Walking Dead or not make it out of the second episode....interesting that they're going through with it....

It'd be cool to watch another zombie show, spin off or not. Any show is better than movie because of more character development. Hopefully it'll happen and as good (or nearly as) good as TWD.

Watched the Walking Dead yesterday from late evening until 3AM!...Stuck to the TV....it premiers tonight at 9PM....Just loved it!

The governor put Rick in a difficult position about whether if he should give him Michonne or fight. Since Rick is the leader, he's bound to make some hard decision but I'm glad he changed his mind (same with Merle) and that Michonne understands (that's pretty rad of her).

I've been reading a lot of interviews with the writers and the actors on the show, and the word is that a major character will be killed off this season....or not, depending on who you believe.....:D The Walking Dead has not been staying with the comic story so it's anyone's guess. You'll remember, when last we saw Rick and the gang, they had allowed a lot of the folks from the town to join them....and that should mix things up.

Do you read interviews from various websites? Can you give me a link or 2? I'd appreciate it.

I'm not sure if Rick made a good decision about bringing in a lot of survivors. You can see Carl was not happy about it. I have a good feeling about the black couple (don't remember their names). They're obviously good people. And I'm not sure what made Rick do that since he ignored one survivor that was screaming for help down the highway when they made a trip to their home town.

Here's the link from one that I read and was able to find...

I think Rick isn't going to be a major player in this season because it's obvious he's coming unglued, yet strangely I think he and the Gov are a lot alike and the group will probably continue to use him as their spokesperson. Carl I think is going to pick up where Shane left off and he'll start calling more of the shots. It's already been pointed out to Rick that Carl has been making some very grown up and uncomfortable decisions. He's behaving more like Shane and I predict he could become a threat...to the group as well as to the Governor's people. It remains to be seen how much of a loose cannon he becomes. I don't know what to make of the people that have joined them at this point. You'll recall, many were elderly so that's going to perhaps be a drawback given most of them probably can't fight. I'm still bummed Andrea is out of the picture....

Excellent season opener....new twist in the zombie story....next week should be explosive...

I was kind of concerned with Carl's decision with killing the young soldier from the last episode. Even he lied to Rick that the teenager attacked which he did not. The teenage boy should have dropped the gun quicker and it wouldn't have happened (maybe). Lori told him before she died that it's easy to do bad in this world and hopefully he'll keep that in mind when she told him to be good. I watched Alien 3 and one guy points out something along the line "Having good heart is going to get you killed." I think thats relatable with Carl. He's more concerned with his own life, Hershel's and the group instead of worrying about what may have happened if Carl didn't shoot. He's grown a lot throughout three seasons.

Just watched the new episode. Carl seems to be doing okay. He's even had a new friend who unfortunately died. I was thinking maybe from bad food but no one seems to be sick other than him so it's probably not the food. Even that pig Violet died and that boar.

When Carol told Carl not to tell Rick about teaching the children how to handle knives, obviously she wasn't allowed to do that. I'm not sure why. I don't think that is a bad idea at all. Even Rick let Carl to learn how to shoot with a gun in the second season so why not those kids learn how to use knives.

That was a good episode. I like how they built things on the prison land, like the garden and stuff like that. Also that new red metal entrance was pretty cool.

Their names were Tyreese and Sasha. Turns out they are brother and sister. Not sure why I assumed they were couple.

I didn't get that part. I'm mean, there's zombies literally at the gate. What were these children supposed to do? Jump rope and act like nothing is happening? They have to know how to kill, that apology just didn't make sense. Does Rick not want the children to defend themselves? They can't save everyone so everyone has to know how to fight. Speaking of which, what happened with the elderly they brought in? I didn't see them...

I think the pig is the real focus of the story because I remember when I watched it lying there, watched Rick's reaction, I was thinking "Is this animal going to turn? Can animals turn?" I think we'll see this next week. I remember one of the articles about the series that they said there would be a new threat and that it would be airborne. I'm not so sure. The Talking Dead discussed this with the writers and they mentioned that people are sharing the water supply to wash themselves - and of course that's the last thing that boy did - take a shower with the used water supply. As they say "Houston, we have a problem...." Until next week....

That's what I was thinking but after the last scene with the pig, that idea went over my head. That would ****ing crazy if that does happen to animals. Whoaa! The food supply would go way, way down. It'll make the survival less bearable. One more week for a new episode, ugh! The new episode felt like it's only 30 minute long.

Well, from the Talking Dead - all those zombies by the fence? Why? Why so many? A sneak peak for next week showed someone by the fence with a flash light. We can't see who but someone was feeding a rat to the zombies during the night. Why, and who's behind it? The writers say that's the very opening to the show in the second episode so maybe that person will be revealed as well as how the pig's death is connected to the story....

I didn't see that. Damn, I should have watched The Talking Dead after the episode. I will check it out tomorrow if it comes again. Too late for tonight, eh. If those zombies were there to eat rats and know someone would feed them, I guess they are capable of remembering important things like food. :hmm:
