The Trio Game

That's the guy. Any chance you read Ben and Me, about how Franklin knew and accomplished so much?

Anyway, your turn, Bottesini.

Did not read the book. I mostly like history of England from about 1300-1600, a little restricted in my interests.

1. Buried in Baltimore

2. Lived last years in Bronx, NY

3. Invented detective fiction

In case you didn't notice I also like detective fiction from any place or time.

Ben and Me is a children's book by Robert Lawson. Amos, a colonial church mouse, takes credit for all Franklin's best works, a tremendously entertaining way for kids to learn American history.

You are right. And now I know what the book is I will read it. My other narrow interest is children's literature. Besides HOH I have Asperger's syndrome. Now you know why I am weird.

Had to look up Asperger's. Obviously "poor communication skills" have been overcome, and if "obsessive or repetitive routines and clumsiness" are part of it, I bear personal witness there's lots of that going around.

I'm guessing your attitude is it's "a difference rather than a disability." Same here with being old and deaf.

1. Discovered by Galileo (1600s Italian astronomer).

2. Photographed up close from Galileo (2000s NASA spacecraft).

3. Our solar system’s largest moon, larger than the planet Mercury.

Ganymede?

You are correct about attitude. My husband same. We had to fight our parents for right to not be protected handicapped, but we are successful for 30 years.

Wow! Fast! So much for stumping anyone with my astonomy hobby. Correct. Your turn.

Edgar Allen Poe

Edgar Allen Poe

Cowpuppy, welcome to the Trio Game.

Your answer is correct, but it was already answered, and another three clues given and answered. At present, Bottesini is thinking up three more clues.

If you're first to answer them correctly, then it'll be your turn to give three clues about a specific person, place or thing. Looking forward to you joining us.

1. Midnight 2. Purple curtains 3. Bust of Pallas

What? I waited overnight to give someone else the chance at this easy one. Where have all the poets gone?

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore. . . ."

Ha ha ha, the story of my life. "The Raven."

Of course correct. Maybe Cowpuppy didn't notice since I thought Poe must be his or her interest. Your turn Chase.

Yup, we've lost a few players, but Byrdie and Ozzie are taking care of other business and will be back. I was also hoping Cowpuppy (and/or others) might join in, but 'til then, it's a fun challenge to exchange clues and guesses.

1. You recognize him if your eyesight is $20/$20

2. Was a member of George’s administration.

3. Died by the gun of another vice-president who shot people.

I'm actually not a poet......only knew of Poe cuz he had some connection to Eureka area in California....born in Humboldt County I beleive...Crescent City? Or lived there. teh topic was in the local news on occasion.
I was leaning toward vampire on the latest question....lol....purple curtains....midnight....no idea how to fit the bust in.
Lost in poetryland. and the mythologies.

Alexander Hamilton....shot in a duel by Aron Burr... a third vice-president under Jefferson

Oh oh, a hit 'n' run player. Puts a strain on the game, but here we go again:

1. Born “Eldrick,” now legally changed.

2. 1/4 Chinese, 1/4 Thai, 1/4 African, 1/8 American Indian, 1/8 Dutch.

3. Four-time Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year.

I think you got it....I prolly would have changed my name too lol
Eldrick Woods who'd a thunk it

Bottesini is first by 24 minutes by naming the former Eldrick.

I agree, Cowpuppy. I don't like Charles, but Eldrick is pure child-abuse. About taking your turn, the loose rules say you have 48 hours to answer. However, there's another suggested rule that if no one has answered correctly in 24 hours, it would be kind to give three additional clues.

Your turn, Bottesini.

1. First female Ruler of England

2. Reigned April-November 1141

3. Lost out to her cousin Stephen
