The Trio Game

Grand Tetons?

Yup, it's the Grand Tetons of Wyoming. I thought you'd all go bust at that titillating question, but you keep abreast of geography. I'm udderly surprised. Your turn, Bottesini.

Your bosom buddy, Chase

Oh brother!:laugh2: At least you spelled all that right.

1. Fiction writer

2. Deaf criminal

3. Manhattan

Okay, time for literary detective work. A list of titles, right? Since they are in quotations instead of italics, they have to be short subjects, right? That means poems, songs, short stories, or one-act plays.

A series of short subjects by a certain author? Am I on the right track?

Yes, matter-of-fact, I am involved in the first one. :) Debuting September 5. :)

Wow! Thanks for the break, 'cause this has got to be the toughest set of clues every presented in The Trio Game.

I don’t usually resort to search engines here, but this time I had to. In a search for one-act plays for college competition, between “Stuart Little, the Musical” and “Sun Yat Sen in the Mouth of the Dragon,” I found the title “Such a Nice Little Kitty” by Pat Cook.

Cook writes plays with titles based on more famous titles. Like “The Lady who Knew Something” is a take-off on “The Man Who Knew Too Much.”

So is the answer plays by Pat Cook? Or am I only getting warm?

:) You got it! :thumb:

And as I said, I am debuting in " Such A Nice Kitty" on September 5th at the 2nd Story Theatre in Ilwaco. I am playing Walter who is going crazy and wanting to kill the cat!

Take it away Chase!

Good irony that a cat lover plays a cat killer. Good luck in your thespian debute, Byrdie.

Favorite author:

1. Born in San Francisco, raised by single mom in the Bay Area.

2. No formal schooling . . . completely self-educated by reading at Oakland City Library.

3. First American to become rich solely by writing fiction.

Lots of writers born in San Francisco, but I think it is Jack London.

Of all those 'Frisco writers, you picked the one I was thinking of. I'll never accuse you of not knowing Jack.

Your turn, Bottesini.

Thank you, Chase.

1. Elvis Presley

2. Frank Sinatra

3. Paranormal fiction

It has been over 12 hours. I am adding a clue.

1. Elvis Presley

2. Frank Sinatra

3. Paranormal fiction

4. Book series

5. Author Dean Koontz

I was floundering 'til you gave the last clue, as you'd be surprised how many paranormal writers include ghosts of Elvis and Ol' Blue Eyes.

I've heard about Koontz's Odd Thomas series, but haven't gotten to it yet. Koontz fans will beat up on me, but his books were getting to sound all the same.

Anyway, is the answer the Odd Thomas series?
