Bunch of cranks. And the president isn't even out of office nor is he dead. And this is how they want to memorialize him when after in two short two years see the deficit go to $2.7 trillion dollars?? And they are worried about how European currency looks compared to ours? I'd rather keep the greenbacks than a bunch of Monopoly looking money. No colorbacks for me. ugh.
 
I doubt it will happen though.

I remember how every year they tried to get $1 coin to be used more in exchange of $1 dollar and it hasn't happened yet. I think coins are easier to use than dollar, especially in vending machine but oh well. Americans like doing thing the hard way lol. Metric system anyone?
 
Eh, I would rather to keep all dollar bills green....

and better to wait until Obama is dead or out of office to put his picture on the dollar bills.

Well, the Metric system is actually easier to use.
 
That's why I said it. :-P Metric system is easier, but we don't use it the same way other countries do.

Guess my joke was lost online, lol.
 
Pfft, what a joke. Although I do like the idea of vertical dollars.... it somewhat makes sense.
 
Its been talked about. I am a coin/dollar collector --

NFB has requested that they change the sizes so its more accessible, so.
I like the vertical designs.. but colors can be rid of.
 
That site its linked to.. if the government chooses to re-design the bills like that (even though I like the vertical ones) It would be extremely expensive.. we're already 11 trillion in debt (or more by now.. iunno) The government would have to get rid of the current bills and re-design all of them.. again, still possible but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon...

For some reason... i think a lot of people are going to try to replicate the new designs.. which will probly be easy..

I remember Susan B. Anthony coins. They were too much like quarters and they kept getting confused with them so they didn't last very long.
 
Obama has no business being put on any money except Monopoly money.

I like that design very much.

I didn't much care for the design of the one, five dollar and twenty dollars denominations. I remember my teacher showed the dollars as an example of how not do to designs. That was in the mid 90s, I think.

Off the point by a bit, I was shopping in a hat store in NYC and I gave the salesperson cash and a couple of $1 dollar coins for my purchase. She didn't recognise the $1 coin and looked closely to see if it's legitimate.
