Awaiting the arrival of Barnella's kittens. I am hoping at least one of them is an orangie.
p.s. Barnella is not pregnant. Here's the story: Barnella is an orange feral cat living in my parents-in-law's barn. She was thought to be a boy, henced named Barney (for living in the barn), but it was discovered recently Barney is indeed a girl. So we came up with Barnella instead
Now I SOOOOO want an orange kitten, so we have a running joke that we hope Barnella gets pregnant and has orange babies. However, the reality is that I hope she doesn't get pregnant. There are already too many unwanted kittens. Whenever the P-I-L come across a feral cat living in the barn, they try to trap it to get it to a vet to spay/neuter and bring back to the barn. They've had good luck with that, actually. In this case, they think Barnella may already be spayed. She may have had a home at one point but nobody knows where; she took up residence in the barn about a year ago and has stayed ever since. She is far less feral than your typical feral barn cat.
I *still* want an orange kitten.
