Fired? Not a chance.
I won't cry on your shoulder. I have access to alldeaf and I am on lunch break, and I have few tricks under my sleeve, and most of the staff in my department doesn't give a damn, like facebook nor the alldeaf forum as long I have done the work, which I finished it - it was too easy. We do have a IT policy of internet use and internet is important in part of our jobs, espically mine.
But however I understand that there are ways to avoid such filters. What would you imagine being in the dark ages while working (with no contact in the outside world?). I have a friend, who recently, got a letter for his boss that the cellphones are banned, and he works in a dentist environment. Feels bad man.
I always know alternative ways to use communication, there's always my iPhone
I am getting all kinds of reports from my friends and fmaily in AZ about this storm. My mom's bedroom windows have been shattered by the golf-sized hail, my aunt reported that all of the customer's cars that were parked in front of her husband's motorcycle shop were severely damaged, and I am seeing the videos coming in. It looked like a hurricane ripped through Phx, AZ today.
If you are in a work environment, that has no work left and you are bored. What are you going to do? Fiddle your fingers?I do wonder sometimes what percentage of labor hours are wasted during work time with various media entertainments. Guess it depends on the job and if there is discretion to have that opportunity. I have one in a while use internet at work, as I sometimes (rarely actually) have nights where I get bored. But, I use my laptop or phone as the internet has those restrictions for allowed websites. I don't have the computer savvy to know how to get past that, nor is it worth the feeling of dishonesty on my part.
..ask for more work.. see if any co-workers need help.. clock out so that way you don't steal money you don't earn? unless you're paid by a project you finished, not by hour.If you are in a work environment, that has no work left and you are bored. What are you going to do? Fiddle your fingers?

I am on salary, not on per hour or anything. I get work via email, and do these. Nothing by verbal communication. I have been here long enough, but still waiting for new work to come in however my boss isn't here..ask for more work.. see if any co-workers need help.. clock out so that way you don't steal money you don't earn? unless you're paid by a project you finished, not by hour.

Clean, organize your workspace. Pick up the garbage. Clean the kitchen. Sweep the floor.
Done those before while on the job.
we have a janitor for that
Clean the kitchen? It is already clean and we have cleaners to do the job.Clean, organize your workspace. Pick up the garbage. Clean the kitchen. Sweep the floor.
