government policy. they're very strict about the hours. Same thing in America. If you're 5 minutes short, you're required to make up for it.

Thanks god it's not like that at my work :nana:

Yes, Jiro's right, and it is called core hours, that you have to work within, if you work more than that, it is not considered overtime, it is taken as flex or RDO hours.

Let me get this straight, you work for the Australian government, right? Now we are getting somewhere.

yes, and?

then...help me understand, why must stay at 'work' for 7.5 hours?

Jiro answered it for you

screenprint or picture of policies or you're lying. :)

You think I am lying? Why am I doing here?

really? that's sad. I get a bonus plus raise. I got 2 raises this year

No bonsues but got about 5 pay rises so far this year :D

yup..because you're being paid for every and each minute you work there .. so I'm not understanding here. if there's hour-requirement, then it's about money. :hmm:

If you are talking about Jake, I believe he said he is a salaried person.

in salary job - full-time job is 40-hrs a week but the government is pretty strict about it because you "clock-in" and "clock-out". They can see everything. But for me - it's very flexible. I work for university. It tends to be a flexible type. It is 40-hrs job but they're not very anal about the hours. As long as you get the job done, good!

on all my work performance reviews - it was :thumb:

:thumb: but to yank your chain..... I think my 2 pay raises equal your 5 pay raises :nana:

yes, and? Quote by Jake

Ok, you work for the government of Australia and they allow you to get on the Internet anywhere you want for as long as you want?

err, what's RDO?

working for government and being online all day is a big conflict to me anyway.

err, jiro is not an aussie...nor has lived there.

oh, just pfh-wanna-be. :aw: (unless he wasn't one who started 'picture or it didn't happened') ..ooh you're finally taking this serious now. :hmm:

There is no need to ask me all such questions, guys.

It is a job that requires internet connectivity, they can not cut it because it is part of my job. I look after a big website, and I deal with techinical issues from the clients. Mostly are whinners. :aw: I work and roam online at the same time. It is called multi-tasking.

RDO = Rostered day off.

You two forced us to ask as many questions as we have because ya played dumb or evasive...as for my very basic question to you, we are only at first base but suit yourself.

I take it that you speak from experience... like working for corporations? (contractor doesn't count)

Yes the family biz has many salaried employees. :)

no question for me? :aw:

I care not. It doesn't matter, it is not important to you. I am just doing my job, and alldeaf is just to keep me updated with the news, and keeps me sane as well.
