4 cups of coffee + hyperactivity + 2 trips to the bathroom + 4 hours of driving in the dang fog = A recipe for entertainment

I've been entertained today, now it's time to put down the car keys and pick up the laptop. Y'all are stuck with me, mwahaha!

Dammit, I should have gotten the photoshop installed on my main PC at home as I need to resize a couple of more photos, now Im stuck until monday with no website work :/

wha? you don't need photoshop just to do resizing or whatever. either use online photo editor or GIMP. You ought to consider using Portable Apps for webdev. with it - wherever you are, you're good as long there's a comp w/ internet... even 4" laptop or outdated comp

Don't be useless. :cool2:

Would it be still be useful for a big ass professional photo? :hmm:

a tip for a fellow web developer from web developer

USB Portable Apps to have -
1. FireFox w/ FireFTP & Foxit Reader
2. Notepad++
3. GIMP (or Artweaver)
4. PuTTY and/or WinSCP

these are pretty much bare-minimum crucial tools to have as webdev - wherever you are. any other tools you see on site - it's up to you (but keep it simple. IMO - the more tools you have, the more useless you are :) ).

I find Notepad++ very useful, and I have it, mostly used it for most of the coding whenever am, it is better than the original version. Other than the applications, I'll have a look. Thanks for the advice! :thumb:

mind you - Notepad++ is not related to original Notepad. they just happen to share similar name. and... the funny thing is - I rarely used Notepad++. I guess I'm just not too fond of it :dunno:

Thats interesting - I didnt know that.

Are you aware that notepad++ can code in different computer language formats?

yup but not needed for me because I'm not programming in other languages. If I'm somewhere else and my work has urgent request, I pretty much use regular Notepad + gmail.

If I have DROID cellphone, it'll be able to do the job just fine. damn 2-years contract and I have 1.5 years left to go :mad2:

Yeah, that sucks, mate.

Maybe you'll end up with a better version of DROID once the contract ends. :)

rumor was said that there will be 2nd version in late Spring 2010 :hyper:

Then you get the choice to choose by various editions.

it's not additional edition. it's an upgrade to current DROID. right now - there are 2 DROID cellphones. the keyboard and keyboard-less. There will be a significant software upgrade including photo/video issue and multi-touch feature next year in Spring and it's possible that current DROIDs will be replaced by a better DROID cellphone :dunno:

D'oh, excuse my grammaer, I meant latest versions of cell-phones, not editions but you knew what I was talking about.

Yeah. Although, other cellphones, mostly of it, upgrades all the damn time.

why is it that by the time you sell your arm to buy a cellphone.... it's going to be outdated in a couple months? :mad2:
