Limes! I'm running to the store for limes. I'm marinating skirt steak for fajitas tomorrow. :D

Happy Friday everyone!

:laugh2: I thought you were going to say it was an emergency need for Margharita's.

Oh, that's a good idea! I never drink tequila, though. I'm such a light weight that I can't touch the stuff. A beer goes nicely with fajitas, and I've got some.

I was doing errand with my mom and then picked up pizza for dinner. As I was about to turn into intersection, all of sudden - a biker came crashing down, rolling down the street. My mom was screaming hysterically. The biker was hurt and the police car was right in front of him. Ambulance came quick and handled him.

I have no idea what happened but I'll make assumption based on what I saw. He was riding with a group - a poser group because they dressed like it's a fashion show. and they definitely look like beginner riding powerful bike. I think the guy fell down cuz he is not used to dealing with powerful bike and he probably popped the clutch wrong way and it started fish-tailing. :dunno:

What broke my heart is my own mother witnessing the whole crash. She was extremely extremely terrified and I can tell what she was thinking in her head - she was seeing what I would look like when I crash. My mom does not have strong stomach for such thing. It gives her nightmare. :(

Stuff like that happens in bad weather. Today we saw two men tending to a man at the edge of the road, they had hit him when he stepped into the street and they did not see him in the rain. At least they stopped and called the cops and helped him.

And one of my daughter used public transportation all the time, so of course I think about her getting run over.

I am pretty sure your mother will cope. It is just part of being a mother to worry.

PS I am glad it was not you.

I skyped my mother two hours ago. She sounded worried about her brothers. Both of them are in the hospital. (My Uncle has a brain cancer and my other Uncle has a lung cancer. It's not good news.) Plus, her knees are bothering her. I am worried about them. :(

TGIF, and the weekend is here. I'm now single and ready for action. :naughty: j/k - but serious on the single part. I will probably clean the house then take my online exam as my professor is reposting it and has given me until Monday to retake it. :)

Arguably, they're best song EVER!!! They played it last night after "Master of Puppets". I was wiped out after the concert and my voice was so hoarse I had to sign to my girlfriend most of the time cause she couldn't make out what I was saying. It was her first concert and she was so tired I gave her a piggy-back ride to the car.

 What an awesome night!

Yes, I agree. Its the BEST song ever! Glad you had a great time :)

I am soo exhausted long day and Sat night ready for my class reunion for junior high.

Well, nothing much is going on... I'm off to bed, even though it's 6:30 in the morning... I was up all night with neighbors, drinking and having fun together, lol Bad I know.

Later guys!

Morning AD.com! I'm glad I'm back with my friends. My parents are out of town this weekend so my DD and I have the house to ourselves. Who knows what we might get ourselves into this weekend. It's nice weather outside, I'm tempted to take her hiking with me, but I don't think she's ready for any of the local trails just yet.

I needed a hug. Thanks, Jiro.

My uncles are still in the hospital for several of testing.
I hope your mother is OK. I went thru in the past. It was horrible to witness everything. I had a nightmare for a month, which I will never forget. I am suffered from PTSD because of that but not one thing… I prefer not to talk about this. Jiro, try to support your mother as much as you can.

I made the first pumpkin bread of season last night despite my worries, etc. Happy (belated) October, everyone!

Here's a :grouphug: Sosie. I hope your uncles get well soon. I can't imagine the worry you are feeling right now. I've had times where I worried about one relative, but not two simultaneously. Oh and happy October!

Hope all gets better for everyone. I'm up here in the mountains in a hole-in-the-wall cafe. Fresh Homemade food up here, awesomeness!
There's a wedding on the main street here, the main street is a dirt road that is about 1 1/2 car wide. People are riding horses and such into town.

Sounds like a place in middle of nowhere, yet 12 miles from a big metropolitan area.

Last night was awesome, I played poker up in the mountains, started with $100, walked out the casino with $2557. So, life's good.

Wow! Congrats on your winnings! Where in the mountains? In this kind of weather, I love going up in the mountains but my son is still sick so I am stuck at home.

It's not an official town, but Gold Hill, Colorado.
The weather is very sunny, cool too. In the lower 50's here.

I forgot to announce to everyone that on Friday I passed driver's ed! :) I am all done.
