I had a long day today. Went for a walk at the beach, shopping mall and had a haircut. Now, I am feeling so tired. :)

i'm sorry to hear that, cheri.

it looks like you and i are in the same boat. i've been suffering with an upper respiratory infection for the past several days and according to my doctor, it won't start to clear up for another 8 days. it all began with a migraine, vomiting, fever, chills and extreme sound sensitivity. i've been sneezing so much that my chest hurts.

fortunately, i no longer have a migraine and my temperature is down from 101 to 97 degrees.

by the way, do you have a humidifier? that should help you breathe a little easier.

hope you feel better soon.

Thanks and yes I do have a humidifier, it doesn't seem to work much for me, but I do use it anyways. I didn't have a very good sleep last night, I took Tylenol sinus but it makes you non-drowsy. I need something stronger to knock me out would do it. lol I am gonna go to the store later on today and I do hope you feel better too.

Just another day....*shrugh*

I am good but I don't post much lately...a bit worry about my surgery...not sure when but def will find out tomorrow.

Good morning!

I hope my dad picks up something for my cold symptoms on his way here today. All I have are cough drops. Oh, I just noticed I have some vix vaporub. Maybe I'll try that. The antibiotics are too slow.

Uh, that looks pathetic. I'm really not in a crummy mood. My body just isn't in very good shape right now.

Oh, speaking of my body not being in good shape, I made one change not long ago, perhaps some here remember. I used to dring one cup of coffee each day. I stopped drinking coffee and started drinking one cup of cocoa per day. Since that time, I've gained 16 pounds. Now I'm 24 pounds over weight, and I feel like it too! Can't go back to coffee though because my Meniere's can't handle it any more. What I really want, and have wanted for a long time, is some exercise equipment in here =) I'd put it on my wish list, but there's nobody rich enough to buy it for me for Christmas except my grandma, but she will buy me her usual 3-pack of underwear or a pencil sharpener shaped like a penguin.

But I'm not upset! I'm just on drugs I guess cause I can't figure out how to lighten this up :)

Try sugar-free or fat free cocoa? What about decaf coffee? I cant give up my coffee but if I have to one day, I will just switch to decaf coffee to fool my body into thinking Im getting caffeine :)

Somebody told me that decaf still has caffeine in it, but just not as much. If it turns out that's not true, that it is caffeine free, I will gladly switch to decaf!

thanks, cheri!

you poor thing. your nose must *really* be stuffed up/congested if a humidifier won't work. :(

when you go to the store, you might to try getting some benedryl or sudafed. both are non-sedating and won't make you feel hyper either.

last night i started experiencing a persistent, dry cough. the pharmacist said it's part of my upper respiratory infection. right now my throat feels raw from all of the sneezing and coughing i've been doing. :(

i hope you feel better too!

blah mornings at work sucks and im posting on alldeaf on m samsung epix.

Are you sure they're not sedating? They both seem to sedate me! But then, my mom's an alien, and most people suspect my dad is too.

i know for a fact that allegra (which i take on a daily basis), allegra-d (which i'm currently taking and it's making me wired), claritin-d, clarinex and zyrtec-d (which i've also taken before) are all non-sedating.

i'm not thinking clearly today. yes, benadryl is sedating, but i'm pretty certain that sudafed allergy/sinus is not.

if cheri is going to a drugstore like walgreen's, perhaps she can ask the pharmacist there for a non-drowsy otc sinus/allergy med.

personally, i've always had good luck with allegra, allegra-d, zyrtec-d and standard zyrtec.

otherwise if an otc decongestant doesn't help, she might want to ask her doctor for an antibiotic.

i just checked google and sudafed allergy/sinus is a decongestant that acts as a stimulant and is non-sedating.

Same doctor gave you Allegra-d as gave psychiatric meds?

That has psuedo=ephidrine and is a stimulant related to amphetamines. They make meth out of it.

Not recommended for people who become manic.

yes, my pdoc gave me allegra-d, but there wasn't any other med he could give to help relieve my sneezing. to counteract the effects of the allegra-d, i'm also taking 200mg of trazodone, but it doesn't seem to be working.

no wonder i'm manic right now.

Good idea, ask the pharmacist for what you're looking for. It's what they do for a living :)

I'm on more medication than I'm used to, but I have to admit that I'm learning to function better on all this medication since my doctors seem to think I need it so often these days.

that's good, mints. :)

yeah. i know what you mean about meds. i feel like a walking medicine cabinet. :giggle:

now that topamax has been added to my "cocktail," that makes a total of 7 meds that i'm on.
