I think the things that mean most to me when I explore new places are the smells anyway, and I'm not making that up. Different types of trees and leaves and vegetation and oceans, lakes, streams, mushrooms, grass, different types of flowers, all these can smell different and enjoyable. Exhaust, certain types of factories, etc., these things make an environment unenjoyable to me because they tend to smell utterly intolerable.

Australia is a good place for you to explore, Hear Again! ;)

yes, i've heard it's absolutely beautiful there! if i had the money, i'd love to travel around the world and australia would be one place i'd love to visit. :D

You too are deafblind? I thought Hear Again is the only one around here.

could we please stop using the term "deafblinder?" i'm a person first and deafblind second. deafblinder sounds like i'm different from deafies and hearies when i'm not. i thought the term was interesting before, but now it's starting to annoy me. i'm sorry, but it is.

Ok, moving on. No one loves me -- referring to my phones, no messages :(

no. simplymints isn't deafblind, but that doesn't mean she (i hope i got your gender right mints) can't use her other senses to appreciate her environment. i think it's awesome when deafies and hearies can do that. :)

Mints is a guy.

same here, mints. (i hope you don't mind me calling you that.) i love to smell different things in my environment and to appreciate the texture and patterns of the ground underneath my feet. as you know, there's more to appreciating one's environment than being able to see.

oops. why on earth did i think mints was a female? there i go again mistaking someone's gender. i told you i'm terrible at guessing ad'ers gender. i try to read as many posts as i can, but i still can't figure it out. oh well.

Oh, I'm sorry Hear Again. I agree that term should be stopped. I'm the one who brought it up. I'm sorry if it offended you and some others.

No, never. Would like to meet one tho.

OIC. I had met some deafblind'ers when I installed some braille tty's. They can understand asl and fingerspelling to holds gently the hands.

that's okay. like i said, i thought the term was interesting at first, but then it got to the point where it was just annoying. know what i mean? hope you understand. i'm not trying to make you feel bad or anything. it's just the way i feel.

Did anyone even thought that Jclarke is a female? I did once. :laugh2: Just kidding. No offense Jake boy. Just trying to bring a sense of humor. :D

again, could we please use the abbreviation dbp (deafblind person) or "deafblind person" instead of deafblinder? really, this is getting quite annoying. i'm sorry, but it is. i don't mean to offend anyone by saying this, but i feel like i have to say something because it really is getting on my nerves.
