No, I think he is simply improving on your thought that my post was boring and pointless.

No, Dixie -- it is obviously a quiet day for me at work.

it isn't to me. I want to be a cop too. I've always wanted to be one since little boy. oh well..... :cool2:

Were you/are you an active LEO as a deafie? (I honestly don't see myself in law enforcement as Im too jumpy and excitable in certain situations and lose my focus which could be disastrous).

I do know of several deaf nurses, but the work environment is different, your in a controlled hospital facility versus out in the field where the conditions change as often as your patients do. I thought about going into Nursing while I had my EMT certs but I lost my confidence in that when no one would consider hiring me as an EMT. Believe me when you've a lot of effort into something and it fails, you tend not to continue put much effort into that direction.

At least in education I can work around my deafness and feel confident about it not have a life or death situation on my hands. However I would be responsible for 20 or so students education in learning the English language, its grammar and mechanics. Plus, I could probably motivate a couple to take their writing skills to a higher level that could open doors for them.

I have the ability but I just don't have the time to sit down to write a full-novel these days, let alone read one!

I guess I admit though with my love for music, Ive always wanted to be a musician. Maybe I have enough hearing to pursue it after taking voice lessons but still it would be a long shot. People would likely compare it to Beethoven, but Beethoven was deaf AFTER he become a famous musician composing for the rich across Europe, although I admit he did get better the more he lost his hearing, which is odd to logic.

Yes, I do recall her posting here for a short time a while back, but she lives in small town USA where there isn't much crime to begin with, they just likely needed the position filled for keeping juvenile delinquents at bay. Also it is likely that she does more desk work than street work. But she can only speak for herself, so my post is entirely assumption and speculation. But I do commend her for having been able to pursue her dreams and accomplishing her goals. That's something that needs to be applauded. :)

 I am backkkkkk... Sorry, I was SO busy with my schooling, exams, my jobs, etc... It was crazy schedule. Now, I am on a break. Just for a week off. Today, I am going to the mall to buy some Xmas gifts for my family and a few friends before the school starts. Time flies by quickly. :eek3:

I will be at my sister's for Thanksgiving with 20 people. It will be good to see all my family and friends again.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

Last weekend, my brother and I went to see the show, "42nd Street" (with two interpreters..) it was really a good show and then, we went out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We chatted and teased. I had a wonderful time with my brother. :D

i don't think the tamiflu has taken full effect yet. someone i know said it can take 36 hours before it does.

you don't have to press your little red button -- just tell me what it does.

oh that sucks..... how long it's been?

it's only been 24 hours since i've had the flu and less than that since i've taken the tamiflu.

<breathing a huge sigh of relief because i don't have to worry about being annialated by dr. jiro's little red button>

oh btw - drink some gatorade as you know that flu can cause horrible dehydration.
