Weird grandmother, Mints. :(

Yeah, It really sucks. After the police gave me the speeding ticket, I looked at the fine and at that moment, I was thinking to myself "Oh crap, this is not exactly what I need."

I will have to call the DMV tomorrow to find out if I can go to the traffic school to get the ticket dismissed.

Why does your grandmother expect you to lipread if she knows sign? Doesn't she understand that it would be alot easier to communicate with you if she signed?

I went out tonight with few of my pals to watch the ASL Film - "The Legend of the Mountain Man." (Good Movie by the way)

Anyway, After the movie was done - I was outside chitchatting with my pals for few minutes and went ahead to go home. So, I was on my way home and the police pulled me over. The police wrote me up a ticket for speeding.

I went 40 mph over 25 mph. This is my first speeding ticket ever and got slapped with a fine of $176, ugh!

$176? Ouch! Sorry to hear about your speeding ticket, Jolie. Hope you're able to contest it in traffic court.

I don't think she knows how to reason. LOL How she survives in this world baffles all of us constantly.
 
Oh, I forgot to mention, she NEVER considers how other people feel. She ONLY cares about her own feelings. When attempting to rationalise her actions, she uses statements like, "At least I'll die happy!" and "We'll see who lives longer!" or "We'll see who gets rich, and I'm not sharing any of my money!"

Yep, It's gonna burn a big hole in my wallet. *groans*

I'm going to find out what I need to do to get it contested and then from there I will know. I don't know how it is for other states but here in Kentucky, You can attend a traffic school in exchange for the ticket to be cleared on your driving record.

This is my first offense, So, We'll see what happens.

I'm glad I don't know her SimplyMints because I have a really difficult time getting along with those kinds of people. They definitely rub me the wrong way. :mad:

I can relate! I have a few family members of my own who sound exactly like your grandmother. I always try to stay as far away from them as I can if at all possible for my own sanity. :giggle:

I know the feeling..my dad's family is so very weird. They give me the creeps..Whenever I talk about them, I snap the theme from the old tv show 'The Adams Family'. Thank heavens they live way down in Virginia.
