Anyway I was decorating my house for Christmas when I came across a box that hasn't been opened in years. I pretty much thought it was memorabilia from my college years.

I decided, "Why not? Open it up and go down memory lane."

I opened it and there were wrapped 3 Christmas gifts that were from my daughter to me. In her handwriting, " I love you Daddy, Love Ally."

I thought about opening it but decided to wait until Christmas since that was her favorite holiday.

It has "rattled" me so to speak since her anniversary date of her murder is just a couple of days away.

I'm a little sad and teary eyed but at the same time--I can't wait to see what she got me for Christmas. :)

I didn't know about your daughter. Sorry to hear you had to go through that.

As Byrdie said at least once before, the gifts were/are from his late daughter to him. And they've lain unwrapped for some years now.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are saying?

If you are referring to them being personal, that is why I asked if they are personal, then I wouldn't dream of him wanting to tell. However, if they are general things that would be special to him but sweet for everyone to know. If he chooses to to impart, then it would be neat to know what he got.

Of course, it is all up to him to decide if he wants to tell or not. I'm a curious kind of person so I do wonder.

You were asking him what they (the gifts) were, right? If yes, he doesn't know yet.
 
It is soooo quiet at work. And I am roaming around my PC and whatnot -- trying to kill the time, but none isn't working. Just finished watching Wall E via my USB I took with me to work.

True, I was asking what they are. I was asking if he would be willing to tell us what they are when he opens them on Christmas Day if he chooses to.

Cool, Secretblend; it is just that your tenses threw me off....NP, tho. And I am willing to bet that Byrdie will share this with us when the time comes.

Same here, otherwise I wouldn't have asked. I do see where the tense is wrong and should have changed it then but I didn't catch it then.
 
It is seven days until the trip to japan.
