My deaf friends wanted me to join their Facebook and Myspacebook. I told them that they aren't my cup of tea.
I caught my niece (who's 13) using my laptop computer to open her Myspacebook and asked her - does your parents know about this? Her reply was:"yes, my mom and dad check on me once in a while." I said good but please don't give out your personal information. She said she knows that but I am still concerned about her safety. (She said she wants to be a model like her cousin who happened to be a professional model when she was 13, she's 17 now, she still travels all over the world (with her parents), and she has been in a several magazines. I have all her magazines.) she looks older than her age when she puts her make up on, I think she looks much better without makeup. My niece's 5' 9" and her oldest sister's 5' 11". They are very tall but I have other 3 nieces and 3 nephews are tall also... Even, my great-niece. She now wears 3T clothes... )
what are 3T clothes? <confused>
one of the reasons why i don't want a facebook or myspace account is because i don't like posting personal information on the internet. while i realize i'm doing that by posting on forums and message boards, it's not the same thing because i'm not posting pictures of myself or my family and people don't know my full name or exact location. i'm sure there are ways for people to find out where i live, but i feel a little more protected using e-mail lists, forums and message boards instead of facebook or myspace.
Three T clothes are toddler size.
SKOREAPV83 is keeping track of deafblind people. In a thread last night he said there is only one in Milwaukee. Is it you?:P
I agree with you on this. It's for our protections since we are females, so on and so forth.what are 3T clothes? <confused>
Botti is right. Thanks, Botti for jumping in and answering it for me. I really appreciate it. Thanks!

Ditto!exactly!
Ditto!
Haven't you thought about taking some karate lessons? I was thinking myself to take some lessons but I took some karate lessons when I was in H.S. It was fun.
karate lesson is utterly useless for majority. If you want a really simple and highly effective self-defense.... try Krav Maga. I will take it soon next month. It's inexpensive. This is for ALL ages and this method is widely used by military and law enforcement.
OK, I will! Thanks for your suggestion.
but if you want just to work out and stay actived.... Karate/Tae Kwon Do/etc. are perfectly fine! For purely self-defense.. Krav Maga is the way to go.
http://www.alldeaf.com/introduce-yo...ecause-they-have-no-one-sign.html#post1181157thanks for explaining what 3t clothes are. i've never heard of that expression before.
no, there are ALOT of deafblind people in milwaukee -- not just me.
if he's talking about totally deafblind people, that's a different story. off the top of my head, there are only 4 of us (including myself) that i can think of.
in fact, we have a local deafblind center which holds monthly activities and there are many deafblind people who attend.
what thread are you talking about? i'd like to read it.
by the way, there's also a strong Deaf community in the greater milwaukee area. as a result, we have a center for the deaf and hard of hearing, a Deaf congregation and several retail stores that sell products for the deaf and hoh -- not to mention the school for the deaf in delavan.
Now hurry up Monday afternoon to find out the surgery date! *tapping my fingers* I hate waiting! UGH! Other than that I am sure it'll be very soon though and get over with it quickly!!
I disagree..I dont want Monday to hurry up and get here!
Just playing with you.

Sorry Hear Again, I was out to lunch and just now saw your request. What he actually said was "one tactile signer" it is post number 14 in the thread link I gave you.
Jake if you are here now, here PM me at this last minute. If not, forget it...
I have webcam but it's UTTER CRAP! It lags a lot. I use webcap to practice with a fellow ADer on ASL
Unfortunately, Jiro was right, I went to bed at the time. PM me NOW, if you read this, dork.
Jiro, go and get a logitech QuickCam Pro 9000, it is excellent. You should sign up for MVP (HOVRS) and it will be a good start for your ASL learning with other AD'ers, the other AD'ers like myself have videophones. (I only have VPAD, but it will work on anything)
