What happen if there was no Civil War?
UK ended Slavery in 1833, I think.
And USA ended Slavery in 1863.
Transmissions In 1832, W. H. James invented a rudimentary three-speed transmission. Panhard and Levassor are
credited with the invention of the modern transmission - installed in their 1895 Panhard. On April 28, 1908,
Leonard Dyer obtained one of the earliest patents for an automobile transmission.
Eli Whitney was the inventor of the cotton gin and a pioneer in the mass production of cotton. Whitney was born in Westboro, Mass., on Dec. 8, 1765, and died on Jan. 8, 1825. He graduated from Yale College in 1792. By April 1793, Whitney had designed and constructed the cotton gin, a machine that automated the separation of cottonseed from the short-staple cotton fiber.
So really.... the South, didn't really need Slaves, cause
they could afford machines.
