You got it ... hmmm .... maybe they don't want English to be an official language for a reason (they don't understand English?)

We understand context in videos.

Ok, what did you learn about slavery and the abolitionist movement?

Was the Civil War fought primarily over slavery? Is that were you were taught?

What was the primary reason Abraham Lincoln wanted to abolish slavery?

When he was running for president, he did not want to Abolish slavery completely ... he just did not want slavery allowed in new US territories (oops, may have given too much away).

Are you trying to get Foxrac to fill in the huge gaps your Texas education left out or rewrote to fit political agendas?

2) Yes and union wants slavery to be free.

3) Yes and wants all CSA to be readmitted into union.

Let it go, Foxrac. Just another attempt to save face.

That's true. Teachers can only teach what they were taught. If they were taught less than factual history, that is what they will teach their students. That is why something like this has impact for generations.

but Alabama has state exam that students are require to pass to obtain HS degree and they must know about American Civil War that based on fact, if it is otherwise so they could fail the state exam and put teacher in judgment about what kind of thing that they are teaching.

If they change the textbook standards, the exam standards will change too

but they won't be well in college if American Civil War is based on outside of fact.

Those were liberal biased lies.

Pop Quiz - who said the following quote?

“I will say, then, that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races—that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this, that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I, as much as any other man, am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race.”

A) Robert E. Lee

B) Stonewall Jackson

C) Abraham Lincoln

D) Jillio

I will give you a clue:

C) Abraham Lincoln

D) Jillio

The answer is C. However, it is a statement taken out of context. There are numerous qualifiers that must be included if it is to be understood in its intent and context.

You don't have my permission to questionable about my knowledge.

I don't want hear about conservative bias that you are teaching.

True. Plus, if a student is educated most of their career in Texas, with its politically revised curriculum, and then moves and has to pass a standards test in a state where a more accurate curriculum is used, they will no doubt be unable to pass the exam.

of course there are .....

Abraham Lincoln wanted to deport all African Slaves out of the U.S. He did not want expansion of slavery in new U.S. Territories because he did not want African Americans there.

Read his quote and tell me how that can be misunderstood .... how about this one from Robert E. Lee:

slavery as an institution is a moral and political evil

of course there are .....

Then why bother to ask the question, as it doesn't illustrate anything except your fondness for taking things out of context in order to try to make a point?

The topic here is the move by Texas to intentionally attempt to re-write history to fulfill a conservative political agenda and thereby, intentionally undereducating it's students and violating their right to a free and appropriate education. So tell me, are you in support of this?

You don't have to answer .... its a Free Republic after all.

Now, you did state that the Union was strictly anti-slavery. So, what about General Grant? Why was he anti-abolition? Why did he feel slavery was just fine?

He was a Union General after all ....

Again, this is not about the Civil War, nor is it a history lesson. It is about the move by the state of Texas to intentionally water down and falsify historical fact. Are you in favor of this move?

No, but I will say that there is liberal political agenda being taught in schools. Everything needs to move to the center because both sides have good and bad ideas.
