I assume she is guilty because she entered a guilty plea.

The charges can still be brought in Federal Court....this case has no bearing there.

Yes, she's guilty on PWID on the marijuana. I said that from day one.

I understand about Federal Court. I do not disagree with you. I don't think it's likely. I was referring to the local level.

Supervised Release (MSR) here is basically the same concept as parole. Report to someone / they show up to check on you while you are out in the world. To make sure you are not doing anything 'illegal' and on the way back to being a 'productive citizen'.

let's put it this way -

you donated thousands and thousands of dollars to sponsor this person's education on the condition that he maintains 3.5 GPA... no cheating... no crime... and then he got caught by police for selling drugs and you found out that he has been dealing and selling drugs for a while.

are you going to continue sponsoring him?

FAFSA - Pell Grant and Federal Student Loan.

They won't grant to students who convicted on drug charge so it has nothing with supervised release.

Let's put it this way... I would give someone the opportunity to redeem themselves if it were warranted or earned.

Usually in this situation, it depends on how many people make noise and press them to file. Seeing that Gally is Federally Chartered and mostly federally funded there could be some taxpayer backlash. That is the perspective I am coming from. She was using a dorm and selling drugs while being funded by my tax dollars.

Luckily for me that the mayor when I was there was Walter Washington! I was parading/protesting in front of the Mayor's house the day MLK was shot. Boy, did I grow up fast!! :lol:
