strong argument for increasing retirement age

Also, companies do not want to keep older workers because of increased cost of health insurance and pensions.

So I don't see this as being feasible unless you're self employed and you can work your own hours. I know a lot of older workers who were let go because companies wanted to save on pensions and health insurance

On second thought, companies might want to do away with pensions by delaying or abolishing retirement but I think that once you start to have an increased risk for poor health, they will find ways to let you go.

Yup, that's true because in many years ago, many jobs offers retirement plan after work for many years so you can keep health insurance and get pension under company after you retire but can't do anymore.

My grandmother retired from at&t in 30 years ago, just before at&t breakup and she get pension and health insurance, plus from my grandfather's workplace too after he died in 1995 due brain/lung cancer so my grandma keep his pension and health insurance under Goodyear too.
