Ummmm...not too sure, but believe this man got 25 years, not life...and conditions were, that if he ever were released he had to agree to chemical castration...(not surgical)....

A sexual predator from Florida who kidnapped and tortured a woman for 17 terrifying hours will not be chemically castrated but will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Elmer Bowman repeatedly beat and burned his 25-year-old victim, as well as forced her to perform sex acts during the barbaric ordeal in 2011, reports WESH.com.

Bowman, 47, also hung the woman to a beam and tied a rope around her wrists, ankles and neck while threatening to kill her by hanging.
He was convicted of kidnapping and sexual battery with a deadly weapon last week, said WESH.com.

Elmer Bowman’s victim was able to escape after he fell asleep. Bowman tortured the woman for 17 hours, including burning her and sexually assaulting her.

The woman only escaped when he fell asleep.
Prosecutors had sought chemical castration for Bowman, but instead he was given two life sentences.

the one draw back if he feels bitter could he be worse.
you say torture not the answer and I agree but what do you say to parent of little girl who just been raped and killed,personaly I would look other way if parents want revenge,Cop out I know,so guess that why we have law not juctice
