I went to the State Fair of Texas recently with my family. I took some pictures and thought I'd share them here.
This is the star of the State Fair of Texas... Big Tex.

This is the back of Big Tex.
This is the Tower Building located behind Big Tex. (You can see the building in the picture showing the front of Big Tex.) This building is where the food court is.
This is the Egyptian display made entirely of butter. The whole display is refrigerated to keep it from melting. This image shows the tomb.
This image shows the wall of the Egyptian butter display.
This is the bird show that I attended. They had various birds performing. One enjoyable act was where a bald eagle flew down from the top of Texas Star, flew around the stage, then landed on the host's arm. At the end, there was a small bird that would grab money out of people's hands and put the money in the donation box to collect money for the bird sanctuary.
This is just a picture of one of the beautiful water fountains throughout the state fair.
Remember the bald eagle thing? This is the Texas Star that the bald eagle flew down from. There are 44 cars... 6 cars per color (with the exception of 2 cars being gold for special purposes). The bald eagle flew down from the gold car when it arrived to the top of the ferris wheel.
