Adoptees to Rachel Dolezal: You're Not Transracial

Transracial adoptees and their allies are speaking out about Rachel Dolezal's and other's use of the term "transracial" in conversations wrestling with her identity, arguing that it does not mean choosing to change one's race, rather it means the adoption of a child, usually a child of color, by a family of another race, usually a Caucasian family.

"Many members of the White press have appropriated and co-opted a deeply meaningful, historical term - transracial - from the adoptee community," Kevin H. Vollmers, Executive Director of Gazillion Strong, told NBC News. "They're treating 'transracial' as though it's a new thing. As a transracial adoptee, this is, at the very least, a slap in the face."

first of all... she lied to people. she misled people.

we do not care how she identifies herself as. we care about who she is hurting and the repercussion of her lies especially sitting in a very important job.

what does Jenner has to do with this? Jenner is just a private citizen with his/her own personal matter.

Rachel Dolezal is more than just a private citizen. She was the commissioner on Office of Ombudsman Commission, African Studies professor, and NAACP chapter president - all of those under lies. a serious issue of integrity.

As fsr as i know the naacp does not hire based on race.
She is as much a liar as jenner is, or asa owrson with anorexia is, so on,

I have no plm. with that, but if we are gking to allow one group to hire based on race then at least it shoukd.be fsir and all groups white included shoukd be allowed to hire soley based on rAce
