So let's say I gave AllDeaf ownership to you...

Alex,

I would like for you to add...

More color themes, more smileys and more icons,
Making an announcements or breaking news to let everyone know whats up with alldeaf.com or out of world to keep in touch...
Add new animated icons too...

Good Luck with those improvements on alldeaf.com

Hope to see something new on here..:)

I seem to see a lot of people (myself included) asking for more smilies, and I also seem to notice the number of available smilies increasing, yet people keep asking. I'm wondering, maybe you want some specific smilies added. If you think of a specific smiley added, maybe just ask for it. For example, maybe you want a smiley that shows a certain emotion, like being tired or yawning.

would love to see a smiley with wings... that would be awesome!!

would love to see those smileys such as from yahoo smileys like that...
really funny ones...

I like the yahoo ones too! They're so expressive! I use them as custom emoticons on Live Messenger :)

I used to use them on AD too until I learned that they appear verbose on Braille displays.

(Hmmm, I hope I spelled that right!)

grammar check isn't accurate.
spell check = firefox can do that for you.
plagiarism check = it costs money for that service. a very popular service - Turnitin: Home: Welcome to Turnitin

IMO - I feel offended having to submit my papers to turnitin.com in order to hand it in. Some universities dropped it because they said why? we have the honor code.

I've only heard of turnitin once, but never have had to do that here at MSUM. Yes, I would feel offended, too. If it's any consolidation, at a university in St. Paul, Minnesota, a couple years ago, a student turned in her professor for plagiarizing her work that she turned in. Last I heard, the professor denied it.

. . . As for spell checkers, there are plug-ins and internet browsers that have these built in. That way, you don't have to expect it from only AllDeaf, but from all websites that you go to... including your emails. :thumb:

Cool!

More silly characters? Sometimes what I want to express is not available - though I'm surprised with the dirty smileys despite efforts to keep this site clean! LOL

turnitin service is pretty expensive. I cannot believe the professor plagiarized the student's work! how did she find out?

I don't remember, but I think the student was looking up something and came across it.
