skin of smoker

Never touched the stuff........

Me too. I never want to smoke it. I tried it when I was an older toddler and was coughed awfully. My mom heard me and scorned me for that, aha. Now I never ever want to touch that... nasty thing.

I've been smoking since the age of 15/16 somewhere in there. I quit for a year when I was 17, then I had some personal issues in my life then I took up the habit again. I quit while pregnant and breastfeeding, but after my divorce, I once again took up the habit. So I have been smoking on and off for the last 11/12 years, Ive not been motivated to quit in the last 7 years primarily because there is nothing to really keep me from it. I admit it, I am addicted. Ironically my skin is fairly clear, people guesstimate my age to be around 18 or 19 and not my real age which is 26. Maybe the day I turn 30 my skin will just deteriorate at a rapid rate as the smoking damages the replication process of body cells giving the older aged look.

I used to smoke but I never was a heavy smoker as I had an undx'd case of mild asthma. In spring, breathing would be hard cuz of pollen. You can imagine what it was like when I had a cat (I'm allergic to cats), I used smoke about a half a pack and it was spring time and heavy with pollen. I didn't find it hard to quit smoking though. I find it much easier to breathe now and the asthma hasn't flared up in a long time.

auth... i heard somewhere that e-smoke is more dangerous than the regulars...

E-smoke was not approved by FDA several times, but hey they did it for political reason. They did not want people to cut cigarettes due to tax reason.

The FDA source mention one dangerous chemical in e-cig that used in anti-freeze which is toxic to humans, but look at how many dangerous chemicals in regular cigarette, thousands of them!

I have researched a lot of things about it, and so far my opinion is e-cigarette is far better than regular cigarette for heavy smokers. If you never smoke, don't try e-cigarette. :)

My friend who heavy smoke for 10 years then he tried that esmoke for few weeks and he don't like it. He said, "I don't feel right with esmoke."

Did your friend tried to quit smoking? My mother is trying to quit smoking, and did not work after 2 weeks of no smoking. There are various flavors in e-cigarette, which surprise me to hear your friend dislike e-cigarette. A lot of people love it once they tried it.

curious - when you say "A lot of people".... I'm assuming these are the people you know? if yes - are they heavy smoker for several years?

Yup. I just ordered this for my mother as surprise. She smoked a cig for 40 years. Hope she like it better than original, unhealthy cigarettes.
I hope so, too! but 40 years ... only if she WANTS to stop....deep inside heart you know? let me know how it goes..

I hate smoking, gives me headache in a minute--my sister was a smoker and I told her frankly I wasn't going to let her near me or my child once he's born or pick her up (brings in the smell on clothes into car) because I wasn't kidding -- she stopped smoking since my baby shower party. so did her hubby, too. I'm proud of her!! it's a lot better for their daughter anyway.

same thought, you really can't compare to people who smoked a lot less than 40 years. but authentic, really nice of you trying for your mother! when will she get it (the e-ciggy)?

lol I'll leave it at that :dunno:

right - which is why FDA rejected them several times. It contains -
-Propylene Glycol, which can cause gastrointestinal irritation.
-Nicotine, the basic substance found in many cigarettes.
-Tobacco essence, which does nothing to keep people from continuing their smoking habit.
-Tetramethylpyrazine, which has been shown in lab tests to cause brain damage from prolonged exposure.

plus - e-cigarette manufacturers have not publicized their documentations & testing conducted by FDA
-they "claimed" it can reduce your smoking addiction and yet.... there's no actual proof or clear process on how that can be achieved. All I see is lot of marketing's fancy eye-catching gimmicks and terms hence a false illusion
-American Lung Association said there is no research to prove its claim and safety

in short - both e-cig and real cigarette will kill you. period.

Yes, He tried to quit smoking. I think he already tried few flavors thru esmoke and he still disliked. I am just a messager. I never tried smoke all in my life. Just second hand and that's it.

i once upon a time smoked, for about 15 years or so. bad enough to get the "yellow fingers" from holding the cigs. long since stopped and cleared out the lungs enuff to be able to run 5k road races. these days i hate the smell of cigs and can notice the smell that comes off a heavy smoker. seems like their skin pores emit the stink even for heavy smokers- yuck

I have been smoke free now for almost 4 years (thank God) and I am so happy about that. Smoking is so bad and also so hard to quit once the nicotine has it's claws in you.
