Signature Images?

I am going to start PMing members if they have more than one image in their signature or their image is over 50 KB in size. I've noticed a lot of you using images that are over 50 KB in size. I've also noticed a lot of you using a lot of Tickers. A Ticker counts as an image. That means... you have to choose between using a Ticker or an image of your own. Some of you are asking others to create animated images for you and those images are over 50 KB in size. If any of you need help changing the size of your signature image, feel free to ask me. I can fix them up for you. It's not that hard. Thanks.

If I send a PM and those signature images are not dealt with within 48 hours of my PM, they will be fixed or removed by me.

If you have Private Messaging turned off, I will deal with the signature images myself... without notice.

If you see someone with a signature that you feel is a problem in accordance to the 1-image or 50 KB size rule... PM me. Thanks again.

For anyone who is having slow load times or just doesn't like signatures, images, or Cookie Monster's avatars, I highly reccomend turning these options off under your user control panel.

It's not fair to people who like signatures. The rules state that images in signatures be under 50 KB in size and that only one image be used. If Cookie Monster is making these images for everyone, she should be aware of the 50 KB rule and apply that to her images. For those who take images from her, they should also check the size of their signature.

If anyone is not sure about the size of their image, they can simply right-click on the image and select "Properties". The size of the image will appear under bytes. KB is equal to 1,024 bytes. Therefore, the size should be under 51,200 bytes.

I realize its not fair. I was just suggesting to those people whom it doesn't make a difference.
 
I've noticed that some of you have PMs turned off. If that is the case, then I will remove the signature without the 48-hour notice.

Some signatures are animated which explains why some of them are over 50KB & some aren't animated so they're under 50KB.

im sorry i disagree with the recent rules why the sudden change of the rules???? i can't have animation going on even if its a SLOW bandwith? i can't have a nice picture going on? and the love of my life is on this and ur telling me i can't have that just because its a bit over that size i disagree with it im sorry but i mean ur being a major party pooper here vamp IMO.... its still unfair for those who have a non animated sig thats slightly big as well and is veritical there is NO difference in this... they have the option to turn off thier own sig viewing.. AND not only that... ur just removing our sig without notification that deems unfair and disrespectful... and ur invading OUR privacy by going in to our accts just to remove them.. still to me is wrong just plain wrong!

I hope that you will respond to my PM sooner and tell me what exact pixel it should be.

Should it be like 400 x 80 pixel ?
or
Should it be like 400 x 100 pixel ?

Which one is more less or care to tell me what exact the pixel is ? :)
 
there are still some 56k dial up users here and I remember being on 56k when I was working last summer and it took me 15 minutes to get connected to my webmail
 
15 minutes? no way... i have dial up.. and it only takes like at least a min or so to access the webmail like yahoo and msn...not bad.. im used to it.. lol.. :)

Yep, mine is 415 x 70 I think, but V don't think so. He thinks mine is over 50 KB. *scratchin' my head* :-\
 
V is right.. yours is over 50 kb in size..




look at that pic i posted..see in size? it said 107,336 bytes and that is pretty alots. So you need to make the banner less than 50 kb.

That why I dont make my signature that big and it only took mine 3 frames and it only took about 32,000 bytes...

Thanks. Yeah, I am aware of that now. I already asked V to make it under 50 KB for me. ;)
 
I recived the PM but still im objecting cuz he wouldn't conform to the e mail system i won;'t do this its acting little like highschool.. tsk
 
Javapride just think it would do lot more works sending email to indiviual. I would do same in his shoes rather use PM system but also leave message to warn member at least a day ahead before doing all works. Beside if send email through alldeaf not all members may have update their email address in their account, some may be bogus some may have turn email system off in here TOO... (you may will notice most members turn email off more than pm system in here).

Just my 2 cents....and you shouldnt not complain you should have read the rule first before put up the signature in this site. If you had follow the rule and none of this could have happen to you or anyone else.
