Here's mine, this is without a crash or a reboot. My personal record was 27 days on Mac OS X 10.3 (I think)

8:59 up 13 days, 23:50, 2 users, load averages: 1.38 0.79 0.78

1. Launch the terminal app in Mac OS X found in utilities folder.

2. When the app loads, type in uptime in the command line

3. Copy and paste it in here. :)

Anyone with other OS can post in here, if you know how to do that.

14:22 up 1 day, 20:35, 2 users, load averages: 0.26 0.33 0.38


I will leave my macbook with power supply for now. I alway use macbook without power supply till battery died.

Ahhh, I see. This old computer will crash or get kernal panics often during summer months...but it's very stable during fall to spring or so. I can't shut it down because if I boot it up, it will take 5 to 10 times on average to finally get a successful boot...so I have to leave it on for 24/7 even I can't put it to sleep or it will crash in its sleep.
 
I don't even know what you are talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crazy:

Wow, I don't know that.

Windows XP still have problem with sleep mode too.
 
i like to shut down my mac when i'm not using it for the rest of the day..

Yep, sleep issue in some Macs still exist. When I installed the USB 2.0 PCI card in my old G4 PowerMac tower in the past....it started crashing when I put it to sleep so I had to avoid putting it to sleep.

That's suck about Pci card.

Yeah, life goes on. I wonder if I will break my personal record...I'm going on 18 days now.

I don't leave imac on all the time.
 
its no point having on 24/7 . even if youre not using . you will be paying more for electricity bill for nothing.....best to shut it down when not in use

Did you read what I said earlier? I have a good reason and plus electricity is cheap here in general.

My Macbook is only 60 watts. You must confused of desktop's 500 watts. :laugh2:

Had to reboot with a kernel update iirc. It's a laptop so goes to sleep at night. I even have it syncing with my Windows mobile phone. ;)
