I understand where you're coming from on this...it could be in the Our Pets forum even when the description for that forum is: Pets and Animals, however, this topic is viewed as a debate/discussion, therefore, better here than over there.

im really loves circus and zoo because have rights for animals can going to circus for elephants approves by laws.
why you afraid of zoo and circus but the animals wont hurt at you just more friendly!
mostly kids loves animals from circus im tell you about that i do like animals they wont harm at me when im visit zoo and circus

Actually what they meant is those circus employee abuse animals in the backstage not in front of public audience. Those animals suffer in the backstage/offstage being abused and have very little exercise and things like that. I like the zoo better than circus that give us a look at the animals even thou they are taken care of and fed and gives room to walk around and exercise. That's why I'm against going circus because of the cruelty treatments from those circus employees.
While Zoos are probably less cruel then circuses the animal are still kept in captivity and some of them suffer emotionally because of that. Plus they also don't have much privacy with people staring at them. Put it this way, how would you feel if you couldn't ever leave your home and strange animals kept comming and staring at you through your window. It would get really stressful.
Ideally animals should stay in their natural environment although I am aware that the animals are often not able to return to the wild which is very sad. I think Animal sancturies are better then Zoos because the animals then have more privacy and hopefully more space too.
I would also support any program that help rehabilitate animals to be able to go back to the wild.

Dogs are different than elephants, elephants been living on it's own since they've been created on earth, Dogs are meant for people to take care of them, because they can't take care of themselves, it's harder for dogs to find food than elephants.
