Sept. 11, 2001

What's more....I forgot to mention in my post....

My 3rd cousin's birthday is today...yes he was born on September 11, 2001! I knew he'll be born on the 11th instead of the 10th. I told my aunt Christine (my 2nd cousin) will have Aaron or Karon (not sure the spelling) on the 11th and she gulped that I was right! So he is 6 today! My son and he is only 7 months apart but image we never met him! Someday we will.

9/11/01 is a major wake up for Americans.

If it was "a major wake up for Americans" as you say, then why do we not care or give a damn about anything else? Nothing has changed, just another day. If it was a major wake up call, the following Sunday every church in the USA would have been standing room only and crowds big enough to force the doors down. Excuse me, I didn't see anyone except the regular crowd.

We still didn't get it. And we won't, sorry to say.

My television wasn't working so I was going to check into the local motel to watch what's going on. I also had to sign the lease and pay rent on the townhouse I was going to live in, as I needed to vacate due to my pending bankruptcy. This day used to bother me more because of what I was going through, but I don't think of it much anymore.

When I was writing the checks, I saw on my landlord's tv everything happening. When I saw two women walking and a person dropped behind them, I decided I had seen enough. I never went to the motel that night, as there's only so much gore I can take.

I was asleep, normally sleep with my radio running all night. I thought what I heard was dream. I woke up and it was no dream it really happened. That was a devestating day for your nation. It changed the world that's for sure like traveling etc..

On that day I woke up and I went to on the bus and go to downtown and I looked at the people were so quiet not many on the bus I was like what is going on so I was like oh okay then the bus stopped... I took off on the bus walked to my therpay and I noticed she went VERY sad I was so puzzled so I asked "whats going on?" she explained it all to me I went like... really so after that I rode on the bus and go home and.... I turned on tv and I go and get my ice cream I didnt know anything REAL happened and I seat there and watch it... and I was like... omg..... that CANT BE!? no way...... I cant eat my ice cream because of big shocked to watch it.... I was like kept said over and over again "CANT BE!" and my body went numb and very shocked... yes I cried! after saw it... In my mind... WOW it cant be that HAPPENED! so shocked... that is how I never forgot..... I will never forgot the love ones...

I have thought about all day today. I never loose loved one in 9/11/01 terror attacks but have always had very somber attitude toward this. Every year on this day I have sadness in memory of how I felt on 9/11/01. I was awake at 7AM this morning (which was the local time when the incidents were occuring) writing my feelings in my journal. I actually watching "9/11, as it happened" on MSNBC right now as I type this reply.

I woke up that morning to get ready for nursing school, quickly coming to the knowledge of what was transpiring. Sorrow, disbelief, fear, and sympathy toward all affected were all emotions I quickly experienced. Instead of going to school, I went up to Idaho from Salt Lake City to be with my fiancee who was up there. As I drove I just kept feeling so "vulnerable" to anything that was said or transpired on the news while I was driving. I sobbed nearly the entire 2 1/2 hr drive to be with my fiancee at the time.

As for myself, I am in Australia, it was 12th of September, when the USA was at 11th of September, I woke up to another day as I was in grade 8 6 years ago, i went to have a quick morning shower, while my mother went to get the newspaper from the driveway, when my mother unwrapped the newspaper, she stopped in her ttracks when she saw the huge bearing title of "America in attack" across the national newspaper.

I was out of the shower, fresh and clean, and went downstairs, first thing, my mum said, look at the newspaper, I was confused, but immdiately, when I saw the newspaper, I was shocked to see the huge news, my mum quickily turned on the TV, and the TV was airing the CNN news, and I saw the WTC on fire and saw the 2nd plane crashing into the second tower.

Later that day, I was at school, at lunch time, I was surprised to see every person was murming about the news, and there was one classroom which has a TV in the room, and the room was already filled of teachers and students -- everyone didn't even care when the bell rang. What a tragic news, I even kept the news paper clippings as it is in my journal book at the moment. All my consolodences goes to the people who died in the attack :(

Oh.. When I was at my old work wal mart in night shift saw on newspapers that the 2 build been on fire then I told one of crew lady about the newspapers to said it is awful then till I go home in the morning at after 7:30 am then zoom to watch tv and shocked wow 2 build been already down then I watch all at first what happened from first one build hit by a plane then whoa there is another plane to hit in other build it broken my heart :( as far when the plane hit on build when people are there it is so sad poor people who are innconnt (spelling) :( and also I seeing some people jump off the build it was soooo sad it make my tummy felt upside down sad it hurt to see that :(. firemen, cops and much more are helping them out alots it lots of work for them which is good to help them out before get worse but some ppl already dead how is sad :( .. there are 4 guys carry one cop on the chair that was dead it make me sad :(

It remind me in Oakland the build was blow out by a the guy put a bomb there. :(:( it is soooooo VERY SAD! :(

I do remember on that day.. I had woken up and was heading to the bathroom to do my business as usual.. Dad was in the living room watching tv.. I was walking past him as my bed room is direct from the living room and I did catch a piece of the tv showing the towers.. I stood and watched and then my eyes couldnt beleive what they were seeing.. a burning tower and then it collasped... I was like holy merde (french word for shyt) and did watch the 2nd tower go down as well.. wow that was one impact on tv that I never did thought would happen, but did happen.. soon after my parents and I went to the city to shop and then we got back to all over the coverage news on tv that was ongoing as a result of the attacks.. I thought of a few online friends who I knew some from NY City so I tried to get online to get to them via email and etc.. mom had told me not to use the phone line as it might have been clogged with visitors in the big city trying to contact loved ones as they were stranded in the city airport here that day...a few days later I did manage to contact one of my NY City friends and she was okay..man this day will always be in my mind for a long time.. funny enough the twin towers was where my 3rd sis in law's young sister and her hubby (they had gotten married a month before that attack) and they were honeymooning in NY City and had visited the twin towers, being on top of that tower before.. now it has been 6 years since the attacks.. and we do remember the loss of folks who were in that twin towers, workers along with firefighters and cops as well..

after 9/11, do you want to do something or just ignore?

I thought that's funny that someone complain that sent trooper to war.
Someone complain that security on any transportation are crazy

Is that what you really want?

Interesting to read how people from other countries reacted to 9/11 on that day. I remember watching video clips of people from all over the world standing and watching TV with shocked looks on their faces just like we, Americans, did. One thing I will never forget is the clips of people from the Middle East cheering and partying celebrating the attacks. It was shocking to see that too!

These people are bloody idiots.

I thought I was still asleep. I thought it was a bad dream. I was just shocked.
I turned on the tv and sat on my bed. I watched until night. I didn't eat anything. I laid down on my bed and slept. After that I don't remember.
I don't know why, I guess I was exhausted.

Define this one, please? Middle East is pretty big, it covered Egypt to Pakistan including Israel, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. Those countries that I listed are our best allies in Middle East. And they celebrated?

I'm pretty picky on the geography since Miss Teen South Carolina's geography crisis. I'm not going to surprise if someone don't know where is Iraq.

Sorry for the off-topic. Now, back to this topic.

Know what? Sept 14, 2001 3 days after 9-11 I got back to work, then came outside during lunch break, it was darn beautiful day and I look in sky, not even one speck of cloud, I find it strange! Not even one plane in sight. I remember there isn't even single commercial airplane up there for 10 days, only military planes and emergency helicopters. that is it.
