Saggy Pants Law

Baggy pants.. it is not only a problem in schools... It is seeing ass and underwear in public. Isn't there already a law about indecent exposures. I am sorry. I personally don't want to see someones back side or brand name of their Underwear or the tattoo on someones rear end. Some one strutting with their pants down to their knees, Suppose to be cool?

Reminds me when I was watching a Fox T.V. show COPS.. a man that wore his drawers down to his knees ran from a cop... guess what?? ... he tripped and stumbled on his britches, eventually losing his pants to a German Shepard K-9 dog. LMAO good catch.

To be honest, I think it's pretty pathetic that the government is being relied on to make this so-called law. The school districts should be responsible to enforce such a policy without having to be required by the law to do so. All schools should have a dress code, most schools enforced them back then. I guess they are all now wussies and afraid of giving their students detention!

Yup, that's true.

I don't like government that judge on clothing issue except for nudity.

If some of people don't like to see their butt then just ignore them and don't bother them, sagging isn't always to be gang or bad reputation, most hardcore, punk, some alternative rock and extreme fashion (not hip hop, just like AE shirt, jean with half or full sagging) are wear sagging, full or half. I'm wear half sagging because of my type, half sagging is just like little below than underwear on back, I'm usually cover them with my shirt.

Not all Hip hop are bad reputation, it's culture and some associate with gangs or crime, just depends on artists. I love to watch hip hop music video.

Most job don't allow sagging except for some job, such as music artists, tattoo, club and clothing store that's based on hip hop, types of rock and extreme fashion, even some job are poorly enforcement like certain location of Wal-Mart and other several retail.

hip hop style can do better than having their pants hopping off their hips.

It shouldn't be up to the school districts.

It should be up to the parents that allow their children to dress this way.

Does that apply to plumbers and tradesmen? After all, they have been showing that part of their anatomy for years. To most of us, we turned a blind eye whereas we’re creating a stink on saggy pants due to a long-held fad. Go figure.

Difference between plumbers/tradesmen and hip-hop is that the plumbers/tradesmen are usually wearing their tools around their belt for easy accessibility whereas hip-hop isn't.

When wearing a tool belt with hammers, wrenches, etc, it does weigh one's pants down.

Agreed. I hate those pants that show their underwear or half of their butts.

 at Chasie's postie.

I disagreed. Many parents are not paying their attention to teach their children to do the right thing. They are probably out of energy to do all the arrangements from home and work. Their house is probably junky that has not been fixed. That's America. I am not saying that all Americans are lazy. Many fathers rather to sit on the couch, drink their beer, and watch the sports on the television. This is what the parents are neglecting their children's attention. They are hard to change their style. That's why the children want to do something different in their mind for their style - to make their parents attention which was not successful.

I believe that the original idea came from a rock music on a TV cable. You know hearies loves to hear music. Music is somewhat a God. I bet that Alex wore a saggy bag when he was teenager. :hmm:

My opinion is that putting a kid in a jail that won't help. It's the best for a kid to go to a community center for 60 days which is a good way to go.

ha ha. You are right about that. I bet that you do that, too. ;)

Sorry Byrdie714 but I have to agree with Banjo here, I couldn't edit my postie earlier.

*off-topic*

Compare two teenagers, one wearing baggy pants, the other one, regular fitting jeans--have a race. Obviously one will be able to 'run' while the other is hoppin', skippin'...heck, perhaps even falling down! Kinda silly and can be quite ridiculous. Hmm...they must be proud to be the 'butt' of jokes...oh, wait a minute, their 'butts' is a joke! :ugh3:

NAACP Says “Low Pants Bill†Is Discriminatory

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ The Florida branch of the NAACP says a bill that would ban students from wearing their pants too low could lead to more legal trouble for black males.

Orlando Senator Gary Siplin’s bill was approved 28-11 last week by the Florida Senate.

The bill calls for no criminal sanctions, but it would prohibit students from wearing pants low so that they expose undergarments.

Violators would receive a warning for a first offense, and suspensions from school would be issued for each subsequent infraction.

NAACP President Adora Obi Nweze called it a “clearly discriminatory bill.’’

Other groups such as the Advancement Project, a Washington social advocacy organization, say the proposal is directed primarily at black males and could lead to arrests.

How much respect would these organizations get if they told people, "Pull your pants up or get a belt!" Better yet, "pull your pants up or get the belt!"

Why why why "saggy pants" !?! Every time, I see some teenage boys wear that.. Sometimes, I felt like to rip their pants off! :mad2:

I think Saggy pants shows have no respect.

I dont understand what the NAACP is in knots about? Ive seen plenty of white guys trying to look the part of a thug by wearing their pants around their knee caps. This law is clearly not discriminatory. Guys and girls do it, blacks, whites, and latinos do it. This just says - anyone who is wearing their pants so low that you can see underwear gets reprimanded. Honestly I find it embarrassing when you can see one's underwear bulging out of their pants in public. Ass crack is just downright disgusting!

This topic kinda fits into the 'race topic Obama and all them say they want. Well, tell me why I shluoldn't think they have an attitude. All that hip hop rap killer talk crap. kill cop be bad....well what the hell they want us to think. It all the white guy keeping the prejudice going? Why is it only the white guy. And why is the native american not included in theis race talk from thier perspective.....or asian or hispaniocs....it's always about the black rage. Well, I understand the past but let's move on......you don't see the natives dancing the ghetto hate dance and jiggin thier asses at us with thier pants hanging at thier knees...and they were here first.
Obama just a rabble rouser using people's issues for his own political make believe....his wife a hater and he ain't gots the guts to deny her hate.

I think that any state would have more important things to worry about than how baggy someones pants are.
